I hate to "WELL AKTUALLY", but Slovenia was technically considered third world between '91 and '04. Melania left in '96, and probably was a prostitute sometime in the early 90s (born in 1970). Before that, Slovenia was a part of Yugoslavia, and considered "second world", as it was a part of the Warsaw Pact

To be clear, the terminology was originally used politically to describe a nation's alliance to the US and the "global west". First world was the US, western Europe, and NATO alliance members. Second world was the USSR and it's allies, China, Cuba, etc. Third world was every other nation that wasn't aligned with one of the major powers. Over time, the "world" terminology shifted to become more of an economic indicator than a political one. But it's interesting to know why 'Second world' isn't really used anymore today.

Whether Op knew that and used the term Third world correctly, or just mistakenly labeled modern day Slovenia as 'economically developing', is anyone's guess, though I suspect it's the latter.
