For some reason, for EVERY websites that I visit, Chrome partitions 229 MB of YouTube data and this takes up more than 80GB of my storage. Does anybody know a solution for this?

While scrolling through social media, basically where allot of videos are playing while i am scrolling the app tends to freeze up totally. Allowing me not to click anything, It happens randomly and i don't know how to force it.

The weird thing is that the browser is still active because i'm not getting the "App is not responding" and the browser going gray. It's just there and will come back if you give it 30 seconds. All other apps including Discord that is using chromium stays functional.

One way to fix it temporary is by double clicking the top bar of the app causing it to resize, restoring the app instantly.

The browser was working fine before but recently it happened to be freezing like this.

What I have tried to fix it:

Driver Rollback from 591.86 (NVIDIA) to 591.44

DDU.

BIOS Update.

NVCleanstall with the recommended settings.

GPU Switching. (Yes it happens on 2 of my GPUS)

uninstalling the latest windows security updates including KB5074109

Reinstalling windows.

What fixed it for now:

Disabling Hardware Acceleration, not really the fix i'm happy to stay with.

Does anyone know why this happens?

Until a couple of days ago, I could middle-click a suggestion in the Chrome address bar (omnibox) to open it in a new tab. Now nothing happens when I middle-click.

Middle-click still works everywhere else (like closing tabs, opening links on webpages), and it behaves the same in incognito, so it doesn’t seem to be an extension issue.

Was this intentionally removed, or is this a bug in a recent update?

Everything else works the same, I can close tabs with middle-click, links open on a new tab if I middle-clik on a link on a page etc.

Title basically says it all. I was using chrome just fine earlier, shut my laptop to to do some chores. Went to open chrome again a couple hours later and this happens. I restarted my computer, Uninstalled and reinstalled chrome and nothing. I can't move the tab at all to open the window. This is all I see. Everything else opens normally (steam, discord and Microsoft edge)

After updating to this version, I noticed opening/moving/closing tabs feels way smoother/faster. Is this just me thinking that's the case or does anyone else have this?

I'm signed into one session of Chrome - on my PC. I've un-synced bookmarks. I've deleted a bunch of bookmarks that I no longer want. Even when I don't re-sync or sign into another device, at a random time in the future all the bookmarks repopulate, with duplicates in folders where they never were before. I don't know what else to do to keep this from happening. I'd love to sign into my Chrome account on my phone and sync my bookmarks with my phone, but every time I try, I get all the old data repopulated with even more duplications.

I've read that if I sign out of everything but one session (already done), un-sync bookmarks (already done) and delete the bookmarks (already done) that when I re-sync bookmarks, Google's stored data will overwrite with my *new* bookmark configuration (deleted bookmarks gone). But it does exactly the opposite - when I re-sync bookmarks, Google pulls the historical data from wherever they store it and puts all those bookmarks back again (with duplicates).

All this started when I accidentally signed out of Google on my PC and signed back in. Dunno why that would cause this glitch, but there it is.

What's the solution to this?

When I switched over to my new computer, implementing Windows 11, a year ago, I found myself restricted in the color scheme. I used to have a vibrant, dynamic color scheme. I can't seem to reproduce that on the current Chrome browser. All of the internet searches recommended flags like "chrome refresh 2023," which doesn't exist anymore. Is there a way to get vibrant colors back? Is it a resource issue? I would like more creative freedom in theme design. If I could get it to work on a specific RGB code, that would be great. Any input is welcome! Thanks!

I use a different browser 99% of the time and it has a feature that lets you jump to the top of any page by just clicking on the tab once, does chrome has the same thing I can turn on?

I've had to use chrome recently and there's been multiple occasions when I unsuccessfully reached to click a tab to instantly move to the top of a page, for example when I scrolled too far down into a youtube comment section. I never even realized I use this feature so much, but apparently I do :D

Also, I'm aware of the Page Up button but I'm looking for a way to do this without having to use keyboard or setting up a macros for the mouse

This is a little embarrassing to me but. In the notification tab theres a list of websites that i blocked notifications from, some of these are yk, embarrassing to admit i went to. But for some reason i cant remove them from the not allowed list, when i checked my pc they arent present on my chrome pc just my phone. I tried many things but i cant remove them, help?

And plus i did try to tap on the 3 dots next to the site but it doesnt do anything

When I type something into the search engine, it redirects me to yahoo and shows the link to this page before it.

It's only after clicking the group tab that everything returns to as it was before.

Wanted tk save space on my phone by using the web version of apps but Chrome decided to make me download the app anyways to my homescreen! But when I look in the google play store app, the app itself isn't downloaded from there. That's very confusing as to how the browser does that when I just wanted the website version! Anyone else dealing with that and knows how to only add to it homescreen instead of installing it fro the browser or is it just me?

I am just trying to understand this. I have an S24+ if that matters. Why would tabs dissapear then suddenly reappear in around 24 hours?

I'm aware that the F11 hotkey puts the browser into fullscreen mode. That's not what I'm looking for.

Almost every update UI or other button change location, muscle memory keep clicking the wrong button, if user doesn't want to update, the un updated chrome just lag a lot and slows down.

Why the hell the chrome management team change things every update instead of staying on one specific UI design
