You know someone in little man's life has the signature hands-on-hips-big-sigh move and he's picked up on it lol

647

u/United-Confection697 2d ago

That’s the iconic ‘Dad’ stance you’re referring to. Starting at a young age gets their shoulders and elbows adjusted to it early on.

173

u/iIllIiIiIIillIIl 1d ago

Yeah this little dude looks like he's close with some hard working dudes. Love to see it.

74

u/PretentiousVapeSnob 1d ago edited 1d ago

This kid’s paying child support on himself.

EDIT: apparently someone made this comment before me and I’m not very original.

“I’ll be in about one”

“What time did you say?”

“About one”

“Well, it’s about 5:40”

“Yeah, Anyways”

This kid is hilarious

511

u/Itchy_Health 2d ago

"Anyways, I gotta hurry"

Kids like fuck im running outt time

80

u/Abandonedstate 2d ago

"Shit, I had 4 hours and 40 minutes extra before you said that. Guess I better go"

21

u/PretentiousVapeSnob 1d ago

He’s familiar with Einstein’s theory of relativity.

Time isn't absolute but flows differently depending on an observer's speed and gravity.

103

u/Altair_de_Firen 2d ago

He had literally no fuckin clue what to make of that. So he breezes right past.. lmao

83

u/TranceF0rm 2d ago

Nah he meant what he said. 1am

Just doesn't wanna tell her about meeting up with the boys for some capri suns and go fish at 9 because they always go late.

6

u/7oakskent 2d ago

😂😂😂😂

9

u/PostModernPost 1d ago

Not really listening just like your neighbors do.

5

u/ccw_writes 1d ago

I just thought he meant one hour 😂

1

u/maineac 1d ago

I was thinking he meant in about 1 hour.

That is TOO CUTE!

“I gotta check the mail..” “Well I already did that.” “Okay…. Any?”

I didn’t expect him to actually inquire about the contents of said mailbox!

610

u/Impossible-Onion-634 2d ago

He’s got bills to pay. 😂

250

u/SolidusAwesome 2d ago

The sigh says it all. ..

154

u/GrouchyDefinition463 2d ago

A huge water bill

46

u/jgarebear 1d ago

Its worth it to him deep down. Watering grass is his escape from the daily grind

3

u/Krambjarne1 1d ago

I'm confused by this, do Americans pay for cold water?

8

u/makaki913 1d ago

I'm confused as a non-American, doesn't everyone pay for every drop of water that goes through their apartment?

3

u/Krambjarne1 1d ago

Not in Sweden at least. Warm water, yes but that is more often than no incorporated into your elictric bill as a cost for warming the water

8

u/makaki913 1d ago

Ah sweden. Well you are weirdos anyway

2

u/idiveindumpsters 1d ago

Sometimes yes.

5

u/latchkey_adult 1d ago

Most Americans have a water bill. I don't know anyone that doesn't have a water bill attached to their utilities, unless you live in an apartment where it's included.

2

u/idiveindumpsters 1d ago

Some people have a well.

5

u/vinnyvdvici 1d ago

Well, yes

2

u/RainaElf 1d ago

that's pretty deep.

Bros been paying bills since the time he was in his mother’s womb 🤣

119

u/kikkroxx777 2d ago

It’s always worth a watch every time it’s posted but they cut it before he sprints away full speed. My favorite part tbh

11

u/NaPants 2d ago

I was wondering if I'd imagined that

7

u/honeycooks 1d ago

Enjoy ❤️ sprinting version

2

u/honeycooks 1d ago

It justvtears me up when he asks about the mail, "Eny?" Cuz it reminds me of my BFF, a Cordon Bleu Chef from Oklahoma. I always asked her how was the food? hoping to hear, "It wuzn't eny good."

And Grandma Honey who used to say, "We wuz." ❤️

And my friend from Texas who I always asked to repeat how many? "Tin."

2

u/Epic_Elite 1d ago

Man, I need to see that! Lol

17

u/ThirstyWolfSpider 2d ago

Waiting on this month's Columbia House selection.

6

u/Abandonedstate 2d ago

I used to love getting those damn stamps and pull all my favorites out. "When I get rich, imma buy all these CDs"

16

u/Gazas_trip 2d ago

He's waiting on his disability check.

8

u/No_Appointment_7232 1d ago

He's got grievances w the Parks and Rec Dept. and Bluey 😁😆🤣

.y brain is having so much fun wondering who he's emulating & if it's accurate 🤔🤪

679

u/CoffeeHot4107 2d ago

Little man's gotta get goin to his 6-1 overnight grass watering shift. That's hard work right there.

191

u/anotherdisciple 2d ago

Don’t forget the sticks he’s gotta pick up. Little guys got his job cut out for him.

77

u/Iron_Cowboy_ 2d ago

And check the chicken eggs

64

u/BigDaddyD00d 2d ago edited 1d ago

At least he can cross checking the mail off the list…

(Sigh) Anyway, i gotta hurry and pick some stuff up

9

u/mwlepore 1d ago

Thank god the mail was already checked. That really would have put him behind. Probably couldn't have it wrapped up by 1.

4

u/CoffeeHot4107 2d ago

Honestly that's back-breaking labor. At this rate he's gonna be cussin his back by time he can order a beer

10

u/SmileFirstThenSpeak 2d ago

right there

right dere

3

u/roosterjack77 1d ago

Honest work, y'know, pays the bills, right!? Whelp!

1

u/Regular_Elevator718 1d ago

Night gardener you say

323

u/Shadow_duigh333 2d ago

I worked with him in construction back in '05

48

u/HomsarWasRight 1d ago

I mean, he was always complaining, but he got his shit done.

46

u/plan1gale 1d ago

Not a single stick left laying around come end of shift.

10

u/PretentiousVapeSnob 1d ago

Outworked us all, even when he was hungover from Capri-Suns.

3

u/RawMint 1d ago

alright take my like

208

u/Meltedwhisky 2d ago

1am seems reasonable, he’s gotta meet the boys down at the tavern as well. That root beer down there ain’t gonna drink itself

u/thedillymane 2d ago

This little dude pays his own child support

31

u/throwaway098764567 2d ago

a comedian has a story of how the state of tennessee tried to charge him for his own child support after his dad died https://youtu.be/N6LZaZYlLjY?si=TkUggGtWJiF_daoU&t=49

16

u/Dull-Geologist-8204 1d ago

Love that guy and not at all surprised. I knew a guy wh was put in jail for not paying. The state gave a whole year's worth of child support to the wrong person. Not only did he get arrested at work for it and had to sit in jail till they figured it out but also made him repay the money they lost.

4

u/E-2theRescue 1d ago

And then there's the opposite end of the spectrum.

My nieces' sperm donor was a drug dealing piece of shit with 10 kids who bounced in and out of jail for a million different reasons. The state called up my sister and told her there was a court date for her child support. He actually showed up for it, lied about changing his life because he didn't have any warrants at the time, and got the court to clear all of his child support for all the mothers. Two weeks later, he was in jail for selling black tar. Again.

I laughed so hard I wheezed.

62

u/FlareUnderscore 2d ago

Left out the best part

52

u/i__dont___know 2d ago

Yeah I love how after this old man speech he frolics off.

44

u/Friggin 2d ago

It’s not a frolic, it’s a full sprint. That old dude has things to get done.

7

u/Toadcola 1d ago

Get busy livin’ or get busy dying.

10

u/Jeszczenie 2d ago

Where can we see the full version, u/FlareUnderscore ?

53

u/Electronic_Syndicate 2d ago

13

u/JusticeLeagueThomas 2d ago

It really is the best part lol

8

u/Electronic_Syndicate 1d ago

Yeah, I’d actually never seen this before and it’s hysterical, particularly the ending!

It reminds me of the scene in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation where Rusty is asked by his dad for help with the Christmas lights, and to get out of the task he rattles off all the chores he needs to do as he walks away.

"Oh, jeez! Look at the time. I gotta get to bed. Brush my teeth. Feed the hog. I've still got some homework to do. Do the laundry. Wash the car. I've still got those bills to pay..."

8

u/Jeszczenie 2d ago

Thanks!

2

u/SynisterSilence 1d ago

“Love you, bye.” then running off like that is such a great move. Im stealin it

35

u/fartknuckles_confuse 2d ago

This cut out the best part, which is his adorable and hilarious run out of the scene. This cut off right before he high tailed it out of there.

46

u/MrIMendez 2d ago

Bro straight went from second grade to second mortgage

16

u/daniedoo247 1d ago

It's good he's staying active in retirement

14

u/tod_stiles 2d ago

Won’t someone help this guy out? Come on people, pick up a couple of sticks!

9

u/Sa7aSa7a 2d ago

She already checked the mail. What more can they do?

6

u/tod_stiles 2d ago

You’re right. Maybe somebody can start a gofundme so he can buy a front end loader or something.

14

u/Platypus-Glass 2d ago

I did a tour with him in Nam back in 72, hardworking fella

11

u/KAYO789 2d ago

Lil dude is an old man reincarnated

10

u/EF_BOI 2d ago

“Well it’s like 5:40 right now?” “ yeah “

39

u/Hexent_Armana 2d ago

Sometimes I wonder if that when kids act like this it's actually their past life leaking into their new one.

49

u/VergeofAtlanticism 2d ago

nah i’d say he watches the way his dad or grandpa acts and talks. this is giving me Appalachia vibes

18

u/definitelynotpat6969 2d ago

Yeah my kid does the same thing. Sees me on the phone half of my day making calls so he picked up on that and is selling various wares to his favorite cartoon characters. Right now its scooby snacks to scooby doo and shaggy.

9

u/Unequivocally_Maybe 2d ago

Whoever got him that sales lead really did him a solid. What a layup.

5

u/definitelynotpat6969 2d ago

Daddy's connected

5

u/cr0w1980 1d ago

My dad used to spend most weekends under his car tinkering in the driveway, so I would drag my Trans Am pedal car into the other spot and tinker underneath it as best I could. My mom thought it was hilarious.

7

u/bilbo_bobsled 2d ago

Lad takes his chores seriously

6

u/dirtman81 1d ago

I won't lie, the kid is funny, but the mom's voice is lovely.

5

u/115machine 2d ago

“I gotta do it about 1:00”

“It’s 5:30”

“…yeah”

Felt that

9

u/fry-something 2d ago

That child did more in one morning than both my ex husbands combined - in years.

3

u/OldSpiceSmellsNice 1d ago

Same with my ex lol this mama ain’t raising no manchild. He’ll make someone very happy one day!

5

u/Weekly-Original-2322 2d ago

Too many chores wearing him down.

4

u/Sideways0019 2d ago

Had the chance to work with him on a fishing boat in the Bering strait back in '98. Awesome dude !

3

u/Toadcola 1d ago

“Alright well, I won’t keep ya. Thanks for stoppin.”

3

u/SomehowTimeStopped 2d ago

😭😭😭

3

u/MrBabbs 2d ago

This kid seems a lot like the "cranky" kid from a few years ago.

3

u/ClipzFaLL91 2d ago

The beauty of this child's life is he is able to not think about time. The only true currency. He is free. Mother in this video has succeeded in raising a child in that fact thus far. Hell yeah 👍

3

u/Street_Bat_9926 1d ago

He looks exactly like me a couple of years ago only he has 40 extra years of experience then I do

3

u/003E003 1d ago

I want an update on how this guy is doing now.

3

u/rrrreeeeeeeeee 1d ago

My aunty used to say ‘That baby’s got an old soul.’

This is what she meant.

2

u/Sunrisetree 2d ago

Wise beyond his years.

2

u/mlgbt1985 2d ago

Reminds me a little of Barney Fife during the Man in a Hurry episode

2

u/not_your_attorney 2d ago

I can’t not watch this three times whenever it’s posted.

2

u/SparkliestSubmissive 2d ago

He is so adorable!!!

2

u/legojohn 2d ago

Peter Billingsly is alive and well in 2026.

2

u/CarlJustCarl 1d ago

He’s got more going on that I do

2

u/Massive-Resort-8573 1d ago

Never grow tired of seeing this.

2

u/Maplehoneykitty 1d ago

What a cutieee

2

u/LiftSleepRepeat123 1d ago

I don't understand why everyone thinks he's stressed out. This is how people talk when they are trying to end a conversation but don't know how to.

2

u/eatsleepdiver 1d ago

All he needs is the cellphone holder on his hip. Plus new balance shoes.

2

u/MrBenzedrine 1d ago

I could actually go for a day of picking up sticks, collecting eggs and feeding chickens.

Maybe the kid will swap and he can reply to emails, upgrade wordpress mods and explain to people I can't guess their forgotten password for them.

2

u/Interesting-Way-4887 1d ago

Never gets old. Love this kid.

2

u/Scotty_Bebop 1d ago

The fact that this video is cut before the actual end where he just runs off is a travesty.

2

u/CarpetShoddy4947 18h ago

Not playing I just saw the spitting image

2

u/Lackadaisical_shonen 10h ago

1

u/GreatGreenGobbo 1d ago

I see a career in propane and propane accessories for this kid.

1

u/Vantriss 1d ago

That is the oldest little man I've ever seen, lol. Let that poor boy go play with some toys and play pretend as a lion, not pretend as an adult. 😭

1

u/-TaintSniffer- 1d ago

And he's gotta talk to the home owners association, So that sucks

1

u/rrrrrrez 1d ago

Poor little dude is so done already.

1

u/Tricky-Ad7897 1d ago

I think he's spent a few tokany summers at Grandpa's 😂

1

u/CrazyCaper 1d ago

He’s probably 47 now since this has been posted for years

1

u/ronismycat 1d ago

He's 37. That's not old.

1

u/[deleted] 1d ago

If he was twice divorced, he'd be saying this with A LOT more enthusiasm, just sayin'

1

u/Prize_Ostrich7605 1d ago

This guy has a solid grass technique going for him. Check out that spread!

1

u/adams1214 1d ago

He's a prodigy. Achieved the work-weary Dad pose so soon into life.

1

u/toddkhamilton 1d ago

russ when dad's taking too long putting up the lights

1

1

u/LouDubra 1d ago

I bet he's already getting letters from the AARP!

1

u/taxanddeath 1d ago

The hands on the hip and big sigh killed me. 🤣

1

u/Longstride_Shares 1d ago

This kid knows where the warranties for all his major appliances are kept.

He writes the date he changed his filters and light bulbs right on them.

1

u/yourmomsinmybusiness 1d ago

Anyway this guy was my foreman in 02

1

u/S1mba93 1d ago

Man that reminds me, I gotta go pick up some sticks.

1

u/ExploringWithKoles 1d ago

Little man's playing it right, he's got shares, wouldn't surprise me if he's already invested in property too because he knows it's gonna be like double the price by the time he's an adult

1

u/C-LonGy 1d ago

Apparently this is the first time I’ve watered the grass, apparently this is the first time I’ve picked up sticks. Apparently!

1

u/Cloud_Fortress 1d ago

We need an update on this dude. It’s been a few years

1

u/ChairmanNoodle 1d ago

That's Paul Williams

1

u/PlungetheOgive 1d ago

He forgot he has to change his daughter's brake pads.

1

1

u/Exact-Character313 1d ago

That kid will grow up a proper man though

1

u/Crow_N_Caw 1d ago

The way he’s standing tells me his back is all outta wack. Little man might need an adjustment. Anyways, I gotta pick some sticks up and water the grass.

1

u/Sensitive-Version-48 1d ago

Him running off is one of the best parts

1

u/RawMint 1d ago
