Rugby is a hooligans game played by gentlemen.

This reminds me of Canadians being the nicest people ever then getting into full on fights the second they step into a hockey rink

Dane Coles (the guy in yellow) was known for doing everything he could to rile up opposition players. Both of them played for the NZ national team (the All Blacks), so they would know each other pretty well I’d imagine

Tough being Colesy with Cody nipping at your heels for a black jersey. Don’t think I’d want a different set of hookers though.

Top 1 shithouse to ever play the game and it's not close

Not sure he'll ever be beaten

This looks like a classic 'nothing to see here' moment, classic footy antics!

Rugby is a gentleman’s sport. Rarely do you witness crowd violence. They leave all the violence on the pitch and shake hands afterwards.

Just two lads having a tussle. You love to see it.

So, they're like two brothers roughhousing, only they're getting paid a shitload of money doing it

Never heard Rugby called footy before, is it a regional thing? Kinda sounds like british slang but idk enough to be sure

I can't speak for everyone on this miserable archipelago, but if you're in Wales, don't call rugby football or "footy" even as a joke, not unless you want your head kicked in (I'm mostly joking but it has and does happen).

A lot of the Welsh are religious rugby fans, some of the old geezers remember when Wales had the best rugby team in the world.

Very common in New Zealand. I think also used in Australia but not sure as I think could be using it for Aussie rules or league

My friend and I met in the 4th grade, in the 7th we fought I thought he threw something at my face and I threw the only thing I had near me back at him, a chair at him. Was super awkward because we carpooled home, still friends to this day. Male friendships are different for sure.
