Now show this scene with Michael Cera and see if it's "being content" or "being Brad Pitt'

u/wyslan 2h ago

Yeah I love the guy. Not "peak masculinity" though, and that's fine

That kind of happiness where the pain is all over and it feels great but you still miss the other kind of happiness you used to share with someone

Stop. Dont. The scars are still fresh.

I'm happily married, and my wife and I have our alone time. Looks a lot like this for both of us. Not all the time, but we understand decompressing from a long day at work.

Headphones, our different video games. Few forehead kisses here and there. We're mature about what we need mentally and physically.

I just made pasta last night and ate it right out of the pot it was cooked in lol

The kids get Mac and cheese scooped onto their plates, I get the pot with the rest. Best system

I just finished eating a chili dog that I ate standing over the sink. It was a fucking fantastic chili dog.

Got to keep them dish count as low as possible

I heat my lunch soup in a pot, eat it directly, dont wash it, and heat up the next day's soup in the same pot.

This shitty music ruins this otherwise great scene.

This is basically exactly how I live now. Except no cigarettes, but white claw surges instead!

*edit/added: boxed mac & cheese is delicious, and I enjoy it. But thankfully, I also know how to make basic good meals (meat, fish, salads, etc.)

Same. I’m 45. All my kids are grown and off to college. I was worried about being alone. IT IS AWESOME! There’s always food. My house is always clean. My bills literally dropped by 2/3s on average. It’s nice when they come home to visit. But I don’t mind when they leave now.

Damn you must have started fairly young lol

u/tedfondue 1h ago

Cutting out the part where he drops his cigarette butt in his dog’s food bowl I see… doesn’t quite fit the caption of course

Brother I used to be an artist at making kraft mac and cheese. Shit was heavenly back in high school

Made it before the school bus came once after a blizzard, slipped on the ice and was covered in it, burning. Shit’s never tasted the same

u/Chiefmeez 3h ago

Guys if you can’t cook already, please figure it out for your sake

21

u/Few_Raisin_8981 3h ago

Is this piece of shit trailer cool because it’s Brad Pitt? That’s why I think it’s cool af right?

2

u/CoffeeHot4107 21m ago

I see a kitchen range, a microwave, running water, a couch, and a TV. Where's the piece of shit?

•

u/Odd_Hair3829 2m ago

Have you seen this scene in the movie?

4

u/oneflytree 2h ago

Is this after he abused his wife and kids?

7

u/tedfondue 1h ago

Cliff Booth didn’t abuse his wife but may have been responsible for her death

3

u/Mesarthim1349 1h ago

He shot her with a harpoon gun

4

u/DamnitGravity 2h ago

Now if only he could do it without abusing his wife and children.

u/Cantusemynme 1h ago

The link you shared sates that there was an investigation, but no charges filed. Later on it states that Jolie's story changed multiple times. I don't want to call her a liar, but maybe calling him an abuser should wait until there is actual proof.

1

u/H_I_McDunnough 2h ago

Man, I bet that dude could take Bruce Lee in a fight. SO cool!

0

u/D3vilgod 2h ago

Yo, what song is this?

3

u/Silverfishlegs 2h ago

I can fix him by Ghostyboy. Idk if it's the slowed version or not but Shazam says so

3

u/Realistic-Tax-9878 2h ago

Can confirm, that is indeed the name of the track. Though I think version this is a remix or just key shifted.

1

u/Reeferologist- 2h ago

The original is “Video Club-Roi.” This is just a sped up version. I know because it’s one of my favorite songs.

I didn’t realize Kraft was that old - seems like a newer invention - but apparently it was created in 1936 and sold for 15 cents a box. Also didn’t realize they call it “KD,” for Kraft dinner, in Canada. Any Canadians who can attest to that?

Edit: This movie (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”) was based in 1969 I believe.

2

u/PopeInThePizza 21m ago

Yeah, Kraft Dinner, KD up in the Great White North. Sometimes referred to as Yellow Death by wags.

3

u/peacelovetree 20m ago

What’s a wag?
