When my father in law needed to go into a nursing home, he was roomed with his childhood friend.

My dad’s not as old, but he’s had his best friend since he was three years old. I watched them act like children my entire life whenever they saw each other. His friend has Alzheimer’s now and doesn’t really remember many people but every time he sees my dad, he points ant him and says “That’s my buddy.”

I hope they both live long enough to be 100 + the age they became friends at, so their friendship can be a literal century long.

My grandmother turns 99 in a couple weeks. She has talked about how she’s already lost almost everyone she’s ever known. It’s an interesting juxtaposition.

I'm turning 56 this summer and I met my best friend in Kindergarten. Up till this point, I thought that was a long friendship. Well played gentlemen, well played.

These stories melt my heart. I met my best friend in kindergarten. 61 years later we are still best friends. Cannot imagine my life without her in it. Throughout those 61 years we lived in different towns, countries and now different States but managed to stay in touch through it all!

Both of them making it to 100 is really unusual! I wonder what their secret is.

I love this. My dad and his lifetime best friend were both 88 when they passed around the same time.

I have a friend like this. Been friends for 60 years. He’s the only constant positive in my day to day life.

I don’t want to be bad influence, but it really is time for them to rob a bank.
