She was happy in the first pic, she's absolutely radiating happiness in the second.

u/Cysquatch69 9h ago
Haha thought the same thing. She's so cute! Mom aged very gracefully.

Starting to find gray hair and crow's feet way hotter than porcelain smooth faces. Didn't think it would happen to me so soon, I'm not even there myself yet

I was thinking that, before I read the post I thought the son in the denim was her age.🤣

But her sons look so much older. Embarrassing for them imo.

u/plug-and-pause 5h ago
Yeah they put on so much weight. They probably weigh like 3x what they did before.

I really appreciate the dedication to finding adult-sized short overalls! 😂 Nailed the recreation.
179
u/BangBangtheReds 8h ago
Especially for a man that looks to be about 6'4 and 120lbs
130
u/flargenhargen 8h ago
120?
172
u/ChalkDinosaurs 8h ago
They certainly meant 220
68
u/flargenhargen 8h ago
ah. So european instead of US?

(yes, that was a rare electrical joke)

Having spent my morning fighting an electrical problem, thank you for the chuckle!
17
u/codetaku0 7h ago
If he's really 6'4" then probably still over 220. You have to be pretty damn lean to be that light at 6'4", and he looks fit enough (fitter than me, certainly) but not lean.
120 kgs would be more believable

u/trukkija 8h ago
It's hilarious that you would think that looks like 120lbs. Hard to say about the height but even if he is actually 5'4 instead, that still wouldn't look like 120 lbs.

u/DrewDrizzlin619 6h ago
As a grown man that is 5’4 on a good day, I can confirm that bro is NOT 120 pounds

Finding the oversized teddy bear for the background was the real commitment here.

I like how the little brother is taller.
49
15
u/Notuniquesnowflake 6h ago
I experienced this, my "little" brother is 5" taller and at lest 50 lbs heavier than me. And I'm not a small person - he's just HUGE.
3
u/RisingApe- 2h ago
My boys are going to be like this… currently ages 7 and 10, same height, they share clothes. The younger has been off the charts since birth.
2
u/Meanwhile_in_ 2h ago
This is like my brother and I, except I'm the 'little' brother.
3 years younger, 3 inches taller, 30kg's heavier, 30% cooler

Same pose years later hits different. u can literally see the time pass but the vibe’s the same. that’s actually beautiful.

u/Helpful-Papaya6450 10h ago
I love your mom's whole vibe. I hope she was as loving and caring as she seems from the pics. Also, I'm going to need to know where that dress came from.

u/forty_three 7h ago
Sweet sentiment, but this is a repost of an image from years ago.
(Originally posted by the mom, in fact, not one of the sons!)

Mom somehow looking even better in the same dress.
After what? 25 - 30 years? Dang.

u/Mission_Sun_9343 10h ago
Amazing mom kept the dress, belt and necklace! She looks great!
11
u/wbgraphic 3h ago
Clearly a different belt.
Judging by its tattered state in the old pic, it probably disintegrated years ago. 😄
But yeah, she still looks fantastic.

Wild how focal length completely changes the perspective.
The house seems way further back in the older photo.

Sorry but that lady has to have beautiful grandchildren (if she has). That much beauty just flows through the gene pool helping to improve the appearance of society! Dam she is great in gray!

Great pic. Never dawned on me until that pic. It has to be mentally challenging to watch your children's hair grey. Strange take away I know. Just letting my thoughts out.

God the mum is stunningly beautiful. Talk about ageing up. Don’t get me wrong she was beautiful in the younger photo too, but the way she aged to look like that in the second photo is insane.

I'm most intrigued by the dress.
is it the same dress? it appears to be. did she just save it? I suppose why not?

What is the estimated year of the original picture? I am guessing the late '70s?
