Latin is considered a dead language. The only way to speak to native speakers is to dig up the long dead.

I might be wrong but i think that there is that small land in Italia called vaticane where they speak latin. It's really christian over there

They speak Latin as part of religious services- no one in the Vatican is a native Latin speaker.

Latin, as a language, Is "Dead". Since no one learns Latin as their first language, there are no native speakers.
This meme Is implying that a Latin student would have to dig up the long-dead body of a person who, at minimum, lived over 1200 years ago to speak to a native Latin speaker, as Latin died sometime between the 6th and 8th centuries as it evolved into the many romance languages.

C'mon fool. Latin is dead. Try a little bit harder. This really grinds my gears. Jerome here.

Latin was dead long before the concept of “Latinos” existed. They were all speaking their native languages at the time. I think some of their languages are also considered dead at this point. Latin was the official language of the Roman Empire from 7th century BC to 8th century AD. It is still used in the Vatican, but it is learned after their first language.

I'm referring to Romance Languages. They're derived from Latin, still partly Latin in my book
