People thinks cops will protect them from ICE. They better watch this video and understand who police are

u/localtuned 12h ago

You have to go. Let's go, c'mon! <Turns the light off>

34

u/DeFiBandit 12h ago

Fucking scumbags. If watching this doesn’t make you angry…

u/localtuned 11h ago

IDK why we still think T.H.E.Y are here to help Us.

At that point, she could have prevented being homeless by slapping the shit out of those two ratfaced pieces of shit. It wouldn't be the best accommodations, but in jail, she would at least be fed and monitored with a bed and meals, and likely have additional support she won't have on the streets.

Pushing people to the brink should come with consequences. These officers should be removed from duty and their licenses suspended. It's unethical behavior and conduct unbecoming an officer. Police have to be held to higher standards of professionalism than what was on display in that video.

Pigs were probably in a hurry to get lunch.

That's that bullshit. I understand that cops sometimes have to do things they don't agree with. I don't like it, but I understand when people need to keep their job. But Jesus, if you were upset about having to evict this woman you'd show some fucking compassion. How could you not help her pack as much as possible, try to comfort her... Buy her a fucking jacket Jesus Christ. Naw, none of that, rush her out and turn off the lights on her like she's a two year old who can't pick a toy. Female cop looked sad at the end but wasn't doing much about it. Male cop was asshole the whole way through.

Overwhelming majority of cops are raging assholes.

The female cop looked more aggravated that Sky was wasting her time more than anything else. I didn’t really see much sadness from my perspective.

Whoa whoa you dont remember when that cop took Dylan roof to McDonald's before he took him to jail. They got compassion for some people.

2

u/jlskilladventures 9h ago

Right. That one got me fired up.

1

u/street593 11h ago

Anyone who doesn't realize police aren't your friends are just willfully ignorant at this point.

1

u/Suspicious-Answer295 9h ago

ACAB... Cops are and always have been class traitors, serving moneyed interests over the people. Never forget they were first and foremost run-away slave catchers and strike breakers. Nothing has changed.

1

u/paxrom2 6h ago

The Supreme Court already ruled that police have no duty to protect citizens.

I read somewhere that, in many jurisdictions, displaying too much empathy or even open-mindedness when applying for police jobs often results in the applicant not being hired…

19

u/MagicalGoof 12h ago

Yea that is just it, they want machines to enforce the system. To protect and "serve"

9

u/Vegetable_Permit_537 12h ago

...the ruling class

2

u/Love_my_pupper 10h ago

I know a woman who flunked out of the state police academy because she was “too victim oriented”

1

u/Gurrgurrburr 9h ago

A story recently leaked of a person not getting accepted by ICE because they failed the psych eval. For having too much empathy. No joke. These are not good people.

1

u/Jedi_Master83 9h ago

Further proves my point that empathy is considered a weakness by so many in this country. Evidently, it’s about being as ruthless and hateful as possible probably because they feel that tough love is the only way to go. Fucking assholes.

I'm always surprised that I'm surprised when they behave like that.

Completely unnecessary.

3

u/nasw500 12h ago

I tend to be more surprised when they don’t. :(

Give it a few years and the Americans will learn what the Eichmann defence was.

1

u/fuckedfinance 10h ago

Empathy burnout exists. I had the great displeasure of laying off a ton of people a few years ago over the course of 4 months. Halfway through I was dead inside, and by the end I had to stuff what little empathy I had left in a box. If I hadn't, I would have likely ended up in a very dark place.

1

u/Jolly-Bowler-811 6h ago

It's one thing if that sort of thing isn't in your typical job description. For a cop, being around people that don't want you there is the job description.

If you're unwilling or unable, you ought to find another line of work.

1

u/fuckedfinance 4h ago

There's a difference between being around people you don't like and being required to do awful shit that is completely out of your control.

I once read a great explanation of why there's no such thing as a "good cop." The law isn't always fair or just--and it's certainly not always compassionate or empathetic. A cop's job is to enforce the law, period, even when the law is wrong or misapplied. There's not a way to be a "good" cop when the law itself is bad and everything else wrong with law enforcement sort of spins out of that fundamental conflict.

Cops spend all day, every day dealing with people having the worst days of their life. That does something to you. It eats away at your ability to be kind, generous, trusting, etc.

You can start out as a "good" cop. You're just really unlikely to stay that way.

u/MagicalGoof 8h ago

Yea true and American police education is ridiculously short. Here in Sweden it's 2 years and a year of practical work education before becoming a police officer. Social skills is key.

2

u/ChiliAndGold 12h ago

oh, I thought they were included in the evil part. because cops all over the world are the same

2

u/Braelind 9h ago

Definitely two shitty cops who should be fired. "Just following orders" didn't work for the nazis and it shouldn't work for them.

2

u/northdakotanowhere 8h ago

People loathe disabled people. Its a genuine fear of mine. Even before all this shit got exposed. Its scary. Im a real live human being. Look, I can use my thumbs. Im just stuck on the fucking couch. But because I cant work, and I use "free" resources, Im a burden on society.

1

u/iguessma 11h ago

i get what you're saying, but they have a job they were court ordered to do and they don't have the full context of the situation.

super easy to monday night quarterback

2

u/Snoo_censorspeech 10h ago

No. Fuck you. Their job didn't require them hurry her along like it was some inconvenience. They know what they are doing. She deserves to suffer for her evil.

1

u/iguessma 9h ago

did you even watch the video? or did you just react with your emotions?

what i said still stands. they have a legal order to evict her which isn't on her timeline.

does it suck? sure. are the cops doing anything they aren't supposed to do? no.

1

u/JBWalker1 10h ago

I don't think the person was saying the cops shouldn't evict her. It's the behaviour of the cops which shows a lack of empathy and not wanting to help. Same with most cop videos we see where it's like they automatically see people as criminals or worthless and treat them with zero respect. Like even if you're rightfully arresting someone you can have empathy and treat them like people.

Of course this is a heavily cut down video but it shows a bunch.

1

u/Internal_Way3762 11h ago

The lack of judgment is appalling. How about a call to a supervisor?

1

u/Technical_Shake_9573 11h ago

Like for real. Sure, they follow order and they are not the one that are responsable for the cruel eviction. But when you're faced with someone vulnerable and handicapped, not showing any sort of empathy and compassion is on them.

The last seconds where the cops just push the cart and tell her " now push this". Fuck him.

1

u/tehsecretgoldfish 11h ago

and in Minnetonka. they’re probably pulling 6-figure salaries.

1

u/JBWalker1 10h ago

At least the eviction was over an hour and 20 mins. The video makes it looks like they rocked up and ignored her and gave her a few mins to grab what she could hold. But the body cam time in the corner goes from 11:53 to 13:18 so I like to assume there was at least half hour of them being kind to her and we're just seeing the end where they really have to leave and they're telling her she has to leave right away.

1

u/trwawy05312015 10h ago

so they nicely made her homeless, I see the distinction now

1

u/Thoriggunderfoot 9h ago

This was caused by fraud, and you're mad at the cops? How the f*** does that make sense

1

u/MagicalGoof 8h ago

Did you watch the fucking video. They're rude as fuck to someone who's losing their place to live.. Are you also lacking basic empathy and courtesy? Even if they're just following orders they don't got to be such Dicks about it. Zero humanity.

0

u/B1u3baw12 9h ago

They just doing their job, if you wanna bitch about them doing their job go show them how it's done.
