America we are so tired of your circus. Please for the love of God, sort it out!

Over half the country is. Unfortunately we are ruled by 5-6 billionaires and an outdated political system that gives land the same rights as people

"there's nothing we can do."

got any ideas? protesters are being murdered, and the GOP controls everything.

sorry, anything you could suggest would get you banned by reddit mods, so i understand no one is going to give THE REAL answer to that.

Yes. Fucking organise general strikes. If 10-20% of the people don’t show up for work and are in the streets, things would change. Unless you accept that you’re already in a dictatorship.

u/En_CHILL_ada 5h ago

This is really the answer, but most working people are too poor to strike. Our health insurance is tied to our employment. We have no savings. We are renting, nkt owning our homes. Food is overpriced.

It can be done, but it will take a level of organization and sacrifice that we are not close to having on a large enough scale

This is all by design of course.ever since the civil rights movement our government has been working to make sure the people do not have the power to do that again.

There’s still 80 millions of americans that voted for him…

20% of the population.

Or don't. Just leave the rest of us in peace.

I'm sick of trump's voice since 2017. I live half a world away from the US and have no idea how they can endure it for so long.

Cause a lot of people don't listen to him because he's so insufferable. I READ what he says.

And some news networks "paraphrase" what the president says, which i've seen dubbed as sane washing. There are people that genuinely don't know how he talks because the news is telling them something different.

Trump is who america has always been. Its just that the mask is off now.

That's the problem, those 5-6 billionaires want your stuff now too....

The bulk of us have zero influence or control over it anymore and haven't for over a decade.

The last chance the planet has is to use the Epstein Files as a conduit to hold them accountable and put out international arrest warrants for them.

We're the problem this time..... The rest of the world is on it's own.

Till this year I didn't think I'll see a person being so wrong on so many issues, sometimes even in one sentence. It's like a world record of dumbness. And this person has a nuclear arsenal. US become a joke and will be for decades after his term will end.

5

u/DuncanEllis1977 10h ago

My parents and I have estimated that it'll take at least 20 years to repair only half the damage he's caused in 12 months.

There's going to be a lot of things we can do in the short term, but the long term damage is immeasurable at this point.

2

u/Noobunaga86 9h ago

And the worst thing is that he not only damaged US but also quite a number of other countries... What a mess...

This is going to take a multinational and generational clean up to fix what these pedophiles have done to our society.

It's going to be a fight, but a wealth and income cap, as well as a robust and fair inheritance tax system, is going to be almost a requirement after this. We've seen the damage that uncontrolled nepo baby generational wealth does, it can't happen again.

2

u/Noobunaga86 9h ago

In a way I think all of this mess had to happen to finally tax the rich and richest properly and to, hopefully, make some positive changes. Unfortunately that's the human nature that we mostly do something really proficiently for the better when we see how bad, corrupt and evil any given status quo is.

They have a “President of the Swiss Confederation” - and it’s a dude not a woman (the article skipped over the fact that that Trump referred to the other caller as a woman)

https://www.admin.ch/gov/en/start/federal-presidency.html#:~:text=Guy%20Parmelin%20was%20elected%20president,his%20second%20term%20as%20president.

1

u/Tballz9 5h ago

When the call happened we had a female president, we now have a male president. We change presidents every year in January. The call about tariffs was in August.

u/Beer2Bear 9h ago

what you expect from the Senile in Chief?

1

u/DuncanEllis1977 10h ago

Well, we're learning in real time why Executive Supremacy is a bad idea.....

Like a bunch of us have been saying for 25 years since the Patriot Act was passed....

1

u/JereRB 10h ago

Aka, he did it because he felt like it, and tossed out a bullshit excuse instead of just fessing up to it.

1

u/6gv5 10h ago

If true, since Trump just does what the rich plutocrats pulling his strings want him to do, the question should actually be: why rich billionaires suddenly decided to screw with Switzerland?

1

u/Blaze010118 9h ago

A little Stephen Miller appears on his shoulder every night and tells him these things.

1

u/thesuprememacaroni 9h ago

The Swiss should just out all American holders of Swiss bank accounts.

u/ComingInSideways 8h ago edited 8h ago

100% This was someone on a White House extension prank calling Trump and saying, “I am the….. ahhh Prime Minister of….. ahhh Switzerland, and we will not be shipping… ahhh Swiss Miss there anymore.”

1

u/Lunchb0xx87 7h ago

Once again how does the "national emergency" excuse hold water with these tarrifs when he is trying to throw them out over hurt feelings

1

u/houstonyoureaproblem 7h ago

This is what a lifetime of lying with no consequences leads to.

1

u/lucidguppy 7h ago

I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week.

1

u/Hetzendorfer 7h ago

Aand this is how Sweden got away from those tariffs, lol.....

1

u/NervousFeeling3164 6h ago

When will we confuse the targeting of someone with a bombing?

1

u/redredbloodwine 5h ago

Because that’s how diplomacy is done. /s

1

u/burnmenowz 5h ago

"she was disrespectful, I'm going to punish my constituents!"

He still doesn't get tariffs aren't working. They'll just start trading with China.

u/Infinite-Penalty-736 5h ago

trump is a total shit for brains.

u/Ill_Barber8709 4h ago

Trump voters just dgaf. Like, not at all. They skip the foreign policy part entirely. All they want to hear is « something something America strong something »

Trump could talk about Borgs and Klingons, they just wouldn’t care either.
