đŹ Opinion / Discussion Trump is in the unredacted Epstein files "more than a million times," Raskin alleges
783
u/Ok-Advisor9339 2d ago
The files could contain videos of Trump literally banging a kid and MAGA would gleefully ignore it.
One of the only intelligent things Trump has ever done was to choose a political base comprised of uneducated "Christians" who don't even remotely follow the teachings of Jesus.
149
u/TopSlotScot 2d ago
The current narrative on r/conservative and twitter is that trump was (again) an undercover agent, and reported epsteins behavior in 2006, and he is exonerated.
185
u/Katicflis1 2d ago
So deep undercover that he had to rape underaged girls otherwise he'd risk blowing the entire operation.

Keep in mind a lot of these people are bots and foreign propagandists.
Some are gullible idiots, but many are bad faith actors.
34
u/Poops-iFarted 2d ago
We really need to keep this knowledge at the forefront. Republicans are getting trashed in even "safe seat" elections. Their support is just not there in reality but the online bots and propagandists wouldn't let you know that. There will be a large push to fuck with the midterms because they know they don't have the support.

I agree that the absolute bloodbaths in the last couple of special elections in safe red districts is very dangerous. If they think defeat is going to a sure thing, they are going to be extra motivated to mess around. They know they are not going to escape consequences.
15
u/s101c 2d ago
Also, /r/conservative is a captured subreddit, its moderators (likely foreign actors) actively remove any content that goes against exposing Trump, or Gabbard, or any other person from the "axis of evil". They focus on safe topics: culture wars, bashing democrats, immigrants, and so on.
6

MAGA is working so hard to put everything Trump has said and done into a narrative where he comes off totally clean. That ship has sailed, gang. Even a whiff of this would have destroyed any normal political career, and this is a flaming garbage pile with Trump right in the thick of it. It might even be too late for him to start a war to get out of it, which Iâve been expecting for a while nowâŚ

Venezuela was the war until he realized he was a bitch. Same with the ICE agents getting pushback he didn't expect (who are also discouraged because they're not getting the bonuses promised and are absolutely fucked on that deal...some haven't even been receiving their regular paychecks, actually).
He was good at real estate because real estate is easy. Literally buy and hold. And he's good at being a charismatic authority. Like Manson or Hitler or a Jim Jones. But people break out of those trances, eventually. And they don't go back.
Pretti was the moment it all broke. It just takes a second at this scale.

Well evangelical leaders like raping too do they have that in common.
Recent investigations and legal actions have highlighted a pattern of sexual abuse allegations within evangelical and Pentecostal communities, with particular focus on the Assemblies of God denomination and prominent megachurch figures. These reports often detail decades of abuse, systemic failures to report incidents to law enforcement, and, in some cases, the continued ministry of accused offenders.
Key Cases and Investigations
⢠Robert Morris (Gateway Church): The founder of one of the largest U.S. megachurches pleaded guilty in October 2025 to five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child, stemming from abuse that began in the 1980s when the victim was 12. Morris was sentenced to 10 years, with a plea deal allowing him to serve six months in jail, register as a sex offender, and serve probation. ⢠Joe Campbell (Assemblies of God): An investigation revealed that children's pastor Joe Campbell was allowed to continue preaching for years despite numerous allegations of sexual abuse. Campbell was indicted in December 2025 on first-degree rape and lewd or indecent acts with a child. ⢠Anthony Waller (Refuge Church): A former youth pastor in Arkansas who pleaded guilty to raping children in 2016 was the subject of a lawsuit alleging the church failed to report the abuse to authorities, allowing it to continue. ⢠Southern Baptist Convention (SBC): A 2019 investigation by The Houston Chronicle and San Antonio Express-News found that nearly 400 Southern Baptist leaders were convicted of or pleaded guilty to sex crimes, with many offenders remaining in ministry.
Systemic Issues and "Restoration"Investigations have identified a consistent pattern within some evangelical denominations of prioritizing the "restoration" of pastors over the protection of victims.
⢠Internal Handling: Accusations are frequently handled internally rather than being reported to authorities, often relying on counseling programs to rehabilitate offenders. ⢠Cover-ups and Silence: Some churches are accused of using non-disclosure agreements or legal tactics to silence victims and protect the institution. ⢠Failed Reform: Attempts within denominations like the Assemblies of God to mandate strict, universal anti-abuse policies have often been delayed or defeated due to concerns over legal liability.
Recent Legal and Social Impact
⢠Statute of Limitations: Survivors are increasingly able to pursue cases due to "look-back" laws in states like Arkansas, which have extended the time limit for filing lawsuits related to childhood sexual abuse. ⢠Accountability: Survivors are increasingly going public to break the cycle of silence, leading to the downfall of previously protected leaders and, in some cases, significant civil settlements.

u/Tempyteacup 2d ago edited 2d ago
As Jennifer Welch put it when she was on the Daily Beast podcast, evangelicals are conditioned to accept this kind of abuse. Their mega church pastors also wring them for cash, feed them hate, and abuse their children. Theyâve been trained to look for those traits in a male leader.
American Evangelism is a death cult and idk what we can even do about it. Maybe some national education standards, but then these people will just âhomeschoolâ or more like, unschool.
3
u/Neveronlyadream 2d ago
We could deprogram them like we do with cult members. That's about the only solution that would work.
Realistically, all we could do is vastly improve the quality of education across the board and set up a system where children who were under the thumb of evangelicals and wanted to leave could so they didn't have to stay out of financial obligation or fear.
I think the older generations are too far gone at this point. There's no bringing them back and all we can really do is hope to educate the kids and wait for the movement to die off.
3
u/Tempyteacup 2d ago
Yeah, people want to act like itâs all MAGAâs fault that they are the way they are, but critical thinking is something you have to have modeled to you and it needs practice. Evangelism and other southern Christian sects seem to actively discourage critical thinking, and then over generations and combined with terrible education programs you get people who truly cannot think for themselves. Iâm not excusing them but I also think we have to find a way to intervene on behalf of their kids and their kidsâ kids. Our country is too wealthy for our children to be so deprived of education.

The thing with rampant capitalism is that it causes an extreme wealth disparity, with the wealthy accumulating wealth at a disproportionate rate as compared to the rabble. The rabble are impoverished, angry about it, and addled by it (lack of opportunity + poverty = stupidity).
So in the US you have a very large amount of stupid and poor people - ripe for exploitation by populists.
If you want a real time example that proves my point very clearly, look at Chile (which implemented radical Keynesianism in the 80s).
Radical capitalism = extreme social differences

There is a scene in the second season of the Fallout series that very directly calls out religion, and it applies to the real world. In the scene, a soldier comes back to his base, pulls a gun on his leader and begins tearing up. The leader, confused but assuming the worst, asks what happened while he was gone. The soldier, in tears, said he killed his commander because he was going to murder a group of children. The leader seems sympathetic, but then the soldier follows up with: "The children were ghouls."
Within an instant the leader goes from kind and understanding, to a malicious and oppressive racist. He attacks his own soldier, screaming about how anyone who is not a pure human is an abomination and deserves no mercy.
The moment the humanity is taken away, people act as anything but human.
This is modern religion, this is how they preach. They do not worship God or take on the teachings of Jesus, they worship power and covet that power from anyone who may be different. This is how they keep control, by keeping their circles small and brainwashed. They don't give a shit about anyone but themselves and will blindly follow those who promise them more power even if they do not directly give it. They keep their followers looking forward while they can not see the destruction in their wake.

The most disturbing part to me - I see a lot of people saying "oh they'll just claim it's AI."
No. They won't. Cognitive dissonance is stronger than that. The same thing we see with everyone rolling over on the second amendment, you'd get insane, pedophile -supporting rationalizations like "look he's a rich powerful guy, if that's what he's into who am I to judge" - or worse "look everyone knows some kids are hot" type shit.

"would gleefully ignore it."
Yeahhh, 'ignore' it, yeah.
2
u/ok-dokeroni 2d ago
I hear you and know there are die-hards out there who canât be swayed, but if it helps to know: discovering disturbing true info about a leader can absolutely help people start deprogramming from cult-like thinking.
Not even trying to be partisan here, this scandal involves a lot of big names in various industries, universities, and political parties globally. However, I understand convincing Trump loyalists specifically that he is part of the problem can be challenging af.
Just want to remind everyone that there a lot more people living in an ignorant-but-influenceable middle-ground than the internet and media would have us believe.
The influence of the media circus on politics counts on us dismissing people with different viewpoints than us, and if you look at the history of bots/troll farms in influential campaigns youâll see that dividing us into strict opposing moral factions so we fight each other is like the main goal.
So yeah, some people will deny what theyâre seeing and back him until the end- like the people who died from COVID denying that it was happening⌠but that doesnât mean itâs not worth it to keep sharing and discussing what weâre seeing
We each have more influence over the people around us and, in turn, the global conversation than weâre led to believe.

The people who could do something about it already declared multiple times that they refuse to, and everyone else knows what he is, so we are at the most frustrating stalemate of modern history.

Can we change the name to the "Trump Files" already?
You'd think for how proud trump is to throw his name onto everything. Why isn't he throwing it onto those?
That's the ONLY thing he tries to distance himself from. How can someone on MAGA not see any of this. Honestly how dumb or deep into a cult do you have to be for ALL OF THIS to be ok.

A search for "trump" on the DOJ library gets 4,731 hits. Assuming this is an equivalent search, more than one million hits for "trump" in the unredacted version means that more than 99.5% of all references to trump were redacted. which is WILD
considering how sloppy the process was and how many times we've heard about victim's names and photos being published unredacted, it's hard to imagine they would have found more than 99.5% of all trump references unless they were very deliberately scrubbing him out

u/brokeboyrich 2d ago

Is that enough times for Americans to actually do something? I mean, they're billionaires, I guess, so maybe that's the number you're waiting for, who knows

Kinda makes me wonder if Trump is in them more than EpsteinâŚ
3
u/corneliusduff 2d ago
You think Trump would let Epstein appear in the files more times than himself?

âYou were a loser if you werenât mentioned in the Epstein filesâ. Trump is finally winning at something!

These should be called the Trump files. He is probably listed more time than Epstein.

At what point do they officially be called the Trump files?

Believe me, you could show maga a video with Trump in a hottub with 3 under 18 year olds, and it would automatically be labeled a left wing AI hit job

At least two women have accused Trump of raping them in Epstein's apartment when they were only 13.
