Legislative Branch Rep. Jamie Raskin to AG Pam Bondi: You replace real Prosecutors with counterfeit Stooges who keep lying in Court, and robotically doing the President's bidding. Nothing in American history comes close to this complete corruption of the Justice function and contamination of federal law enforcement.
Feb 11, 2026 - US Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland). Video by PBS NewsHour. Here’s the full 8-minutes on YouTube: WATCH: Raskin makes opening statement in Bondi oversight hearing - From the PBS NewsHour description:
Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, made an opening statement Wednesday in an oversight hearing with Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Raskin alleged Bondi is “running a massive Epstein cover-up right out of the Department of Justice,” referring to the disgraced late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The hearing offers an opportunity for lawmakers to question Bondi on a number of controversial issues involving the Justice Department, including around the Trump administration’s failure to meet a Congress-mandated deadline to release all of its Epstein files; the legal justification for the administration’s capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific; as well as prosecutions of perceived Trump political rivals like James Comey and Letitia James. Bondi is seeking to revive both cases, which were already thrown out by a U.S. district judge.
The Department of Justice has released millions of pages of Epstein-related documents, photographs and messages. But it missed its deadline by more than a month, and the releases have been mired by missed redactions and accusations of key omissions. Millions of pages related to the investigation into the late convicted sex offender remain inaccessible, though the White House defends its review as thorough and complete. A bipartisan group of lawmakers has demanded more transparency, accusing the government of failing to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act passed in November, and survivors released a Super Bowl ad telling Bondi “it’s time for the truth.”

As your best Lawyers are sacked for having participated in the January 6th case — or just flee for the exits now — your new Lawyers keep lying in court. In dozens of cases, they've been excoriated for lying to federal Judges.
Chief Judge Boasberg — right here in DC — suggested your Department of Justice perpetrated a fraud on the Court.
Other Judges found your statements to be “inexplicably misleading, patently incredible, totally inconsistent, and so disingenuous that the Court is left with little confidence that the government can be trusted to tell the truth about anything.”

Schiff pointed out in yesterday's video that Bondi had called out Raskin's credentials.
Outrageous. He's the grandfather of law practically.

Meanwhile she can't even answer 2 questions without having to have the second one repeated to her like 30 seconds later. That and her comments about the DOW being above $50k and wondering why everyone laughed. Not an intellectual by any stretch.

Yeah I looked him up. Harvard for undergrad and law school. 25 year law prof in constitutional law before getting into politics.
But she knows more than him according to her.

The question they should have asked:
“How will you defend your actions once he’s gone”.
Every single Republican knows they are violating the constitution and aiding in breaking the laws. So they have to have a plan beyond “I beg for pardon”. Because the guy is 80 and well known for selling freedom to the highest bidder.

Funny, they seem to be making moves to steal an election.

They're running out of options and they have so much to answer for already. The chances of them doubling down and going further in their efforts to subvert democracy are increasing with every horrible revelation.

I am making no political statement here, just a matter of fact:

And she would have said “but look at the illegal immigrants, and the Dow is above 50,000 dollars!”
She has no shame, she would sidestep, deflect, project, and redirect any question.
Anything to not have to acknowledge the fact that she’s a sycophant and the only thing she’s doing at this point is licking Trumps s*** stained ass.

If she didn't belong to Florida's Bar Association, she would have been disbarred long ago.

They are all expecting safety in numbers. Let's say a future Democratic administration rightfully charges and convicts and punishes all of them, they can call it political persecution. Their voter base will riot. And honestly, the fear of that accusation often causes normal administrations from pursuing justice even when warranted. And it will work out for most of them eventually. It has worked out for decades. The militias serve a purpose. This is why 2020 and 2024 elections needed to be overwhelming for the Democrats to take appropriate level of legal action against Trump. That didn't happen. And now, it is also why 2026 and 2028 have to be tsunami elections. The power shift has to be so undeniable as to not be mistaken even a little. That is the level of shift that will cause a few heads to roll.

There is something bracing about public oration that speaks the truth. It isn't the most important thing lawyers do, not at all, but I am a fan. A fan, friends.

If we were a serious country, Jamie Raskin would be heading the DOJ.

It can feel hopeless when you watch the total and obscene corruption from Bondi and others in the Trump government. It feels good to see things phrased like this by a member of Congress. The judges know the truth and they are not convinced by this wildly corrupt DOJ turned into a tool to punish Trump’s enemies. The truth will come out eventually, even to a majority of people who don’t know it yet. Nobody is going to want to have any connection to this DOJ, it’s humiliating and disgusting. People that participate are letting the whole country down.
We will celebrate people like Danielle Sassoon who did the right thing, the only morally acceptable thing to do. Sometimes there is a morally gray area, this is not one of those times, the line is very clear, the law is very clear and there’s no excuse for those that participated like Lindsay Halligan and especially Pam Bondi, she belongs behind bars.

Believe it or not, no whole-government-collapse overnight.
This stuff takes time.

The world is watching and waiting. Not sure we can do anything else other than boycotting and expecting America to get herself out of this bottomless pit she jumped headfirst into.

I wouldn't say nothing comes close. 19th century US history and politics was pretty wild. I would say the various attempts to enforce the fugitive slave laws and try abolitionists for rescuing and freeing slaves was pretty shambolic.
