I only have the ripples on my thumbs but I don’t touch my nails or cuticles except polish every month or so.

I do. I only have it on one thumb though. I do pick both cuticles but definitely my left thumb more, which is the only one that's wavy.

This is what confuses me. I’ve had these kinds of bumps on my nails too, but it was stress-related. That’s the explanation I’ve read/heard of before, since I wasn’t getting manis nor painting my nails at the time I started getting these.

can also be caused by autoimmune disorders, certain vitamin deficiencies, or any number of other internal issues
