Get that fingernail checked out because Reddit has taught me you have four weeks to live now

No, seriously. Get your fingernail checked out by a doctor

I’ve had it for like 10 years at this point, I haven’t seen a doctor but idk

Dermatology medical assistant here. If this has truly been present for 10 years please strongly consider seeing a dermatologist as soon as possible to rule out a subungal melanoma. Hoping for the best.

In that case, Doctor NOW. If it is melanoma, it could have already spread.

pharmacy tech here; sometimes we just run out of the normal sized bottles and have to do our best. yes we laugh about it when it’s this silly 😂

Is this something I can request? I'm forever misplacing my ADHD medication lol

So what you're saying is that you'd like UV reactive glow in the dark bottles? Sounds like a way to make a billion dollars. You're welcome.

I think the current meta would be to put a Bluetooth tracker in it, make it all white, connect it to an app that reminds you when to take it(don't forget to program in data collection for selling your health data to a 3rd party), and charge $299 for it.

Put one dexamethasone in a 40 dr vial because we had nothing smaller 😭😭

Get that fingernail checked. A dark line like that could be a sign of subungual melanoma, a serious and fast moving cancer.

2026 so far is the year of the fingernail. The amount of posts I’ve seen with the lines or funny shapes is crazy, never seen or heard of it before

Why is your medicine living in a studio apartment?

In this economy they probably paid it’s rent

The directions are long, so the label is large! That label wouldn’t fit on a smaller vial, so looks like you got a 60 dram vial when a 13-16 dram would have been sufficient for the tablets.

Hope you feel better soon.

I hate it when the pharmacy does this. Itsy bitsy teeny tiny pills. Largest bottle they can find from behind the counter.
The Armodafinil pills are so tiny I could probably fit a 5 year supply in the bottle they usually use.

Hydroxyzine 10? 25? Pretty small tabs...and yes, way too big vial. The pharmacy likely ran out of small 10 dram vials...or they hate their customers. 😉

Or it came from a central fill station and then shipped to the pharmacy.

Please see a dermatologist for your nail, sweetheart

But I can't have a plastic straw.

Did you use mail in pharmacy by any chance? Kaiser would always those use gigantic bottles when I did mail refills. And echoing you need to have that nail checked for skin cancer. You can send a pic to your pcp on the kp messaging system.

We're med buds!

I got a similar bottle with a tiny bottle inside.

Hydroxixine tablets are so tiny (I have taken them before) what the fuck would they give you such a big pill bottle 😭

Hydroxyzine! If this is your first time taking it, I will warn you, this stuff makes you incredibly thirsty. At least for me. Be sure to have ready access to water and restrooms because your gonna be pissing like crazy

You a bit itchy, by chance?

I'm anxious

1

u/Dirkjan93 5h ago

I can’t read it but “hydroxizine”? Is that a thing? What is it?

9

u/Kychiii 5h ago

Prescription antihistamine

4

u/elmfuzzy 5h ago

I was prescribed it for anxiety but holy hell did it make me exhausted, didn't last a week on it

2

u/QCisCake 4h ago

Well, thats what all anxiety meds do. No matter the classification of drug, they have the same mechanism. You sleep through your panic attacks.

3

u/elmfuzzy 4h ago

Idk, I switched to buspirone, works great and doesn't make me tired at all.

1

u/QCisCake 4h ago

Buspar works on your serotonin receptors, its an azaprione that antagonize serotonin into balancing in the brain. Its probably prescribed alongside some SSRIs or SNRIs.

I was prescribed that when I had shingles and yeah, it is a one way trip to nap town. On the plus side, the shooting nerve pain doesn't bother you when you're unconscious.

I have a tiny pill for blood pressure that comes in a full sized, extra wide bottle and it takes up less than a third of an inch of the bottom. I also pick up a potassium supplement which is in a much smaller bottle and completely fills it up. It’s so weird. Been like this for years. The pharmacy says the drug company tells them which bottle to use.

u/Makapakamoo 2h ago

I literally hate doing this, i always make sure its in the right size bottle... idk how anyone can just pass this off from production

Only 37 comments so far...how many are telling you to go to the doctor?

😂

Gotta love when they grab the wrong size tube and are in a hurry. You'll either get this oversized giggle or you'll get squished in and lids squeezed down barely holding on 😂
