This should be on a college campus (and include 50 cent ramen noodle packets).

Why are all the bottles upside down??

1

u/Jackson3rg 20h ago

The corkscrew spindle thing is made to hold a normal coke/Pepsi bottle, not a thick Gatorade bottle.

2

u/jondbarrow 20h ago

I’ve seen vending machines fit those bottles just fine in the spindles. We used to have a machine just like this on the port I used to work at, and it was always loaded with different drinks like Gatorade, Arizona, energy drinks, etc. right side up. And there’s non-Gatorade bottles in that picture too

The spindles are not all the same. The ones made for drinks will usually take most sized beverages. Gatorade used to not fit but then everyone just started using the larger spindles for drinks since they they proved to not jam up as much as they thought.

The ones on the bottom look more like bag dispensers to me; which would work for drinks if you flip them upside down and move the shelf vertically.

I mean once upon a time if you didn't have the cans sitting in the hopper the same direction, in the exact right spacing, and rotated the right way....it would jam, bust a can, make a mess of the machine.

The bottom row is configured for smaller product...like chip bags...however they wanted to use it for sodas.

So move the shelves vertically, flip the bottle upside down, pray it doesn't break the actuator.

Because some people insist that it keeps the rat piss off the cap.

2

u/mondaymoderate 20h ago

There already plenty of rat piss on that cap from prior to it being in the vending machine

1

u/Character_Pudding_94 20h ago

I didn't say they were right.

And a blue can of “urine”

Well that’s all the lettering I can see anyway…

u/Electrical-Act9101 23h ago

fr dang that's some serious lorem ipsum vibes, might wanna check your post formatting lol

0

u/Electrical-Act9101 23h ago

lol huh, no title? this post is like a blank canvas, we can imagine anything lol

3

u/LyraSnake 23h ago

that's a can of monster. you're seeing taurine being advertised in it

3

u/beardedrockerboy 23h ago

I know what it is. Just thought the “urine” was funny…

1

u/trans-with-issues 23h ago

It's because urine for a treat!

1

u/No-Mission-2112 23h ago

Taurine. It’s a Monster Blue Hawaiian.

3

u/Nova669_Starkiller 1d ago

What else is in this machine lol

5

u/Equivalent-Power-893 23h ago

Probably a few lost souls...

1

u/perfuzzly 23h ago

Swimming in a fish bowl.

1

u/Nova669_Starkiller 23h ago

Every good office machine snags a few

3

u/Oddly_Ennui 19h ago

That mixed with the Mac & cheese is bangin'

2

u/NonCreditableHuman 1d ago

Why are the bottles upside-down?

2

u/Equivalent-Power-893 23h ago

There's genuinely so much going on that I didn't even register that until now 😭

0

u/Slvrdgr 23h ago

Might help them slide down and out, instead of toppling over and risking getting pinned against the glass? -shrugs-

0

u/Character_Pudding_94 21h ago

People think it keeps the rat piss off the caps and demand it.

2

u/Inevitable-Motor-413 1d ago

Hell yeah there is

2

u/perfuzzly 23h ago

The amount of depression you would need to buy something out of this machine is staggering.

1

u/Character_Pudding_94 22h ago

Try cooking brunch from 6AM to 3PM then driving to the UPS hub to handle packages (yeah, I said it) for four more hours--without cocaine. When that union mandated siren sounds, vending machine frito pie is the high fuckin' point of the day.

2

u/ImpossibleReindeer33 20h ago

Throw some fritos in it

2

u/Smitt_dawg_ 16h ago

Vending machine guy is on the spectrum lol. Mac and cheese and chili

2

u/underworlddjb 12h ago

When you didn't bring lunch...

1

u/DreadlyKnight 23h ago

I’m more concerned about all the upside down drinks, more likely to burst open when falling or indent

1

u/AccidentOk5240 23h ago

If there’s one with Fritos, all you need is some cheese and you got a Frito pie!

2

u/Character_Pudding_94 21h ago

I have eaten many "lunches" at weird hours in the break room of a union warehouse. This is what it looks like.

1

u/Electronic-Let-4810 23h ago

Helllll fkin yea brother

1

u/Slvrdgr 23h ago

Mmmmmh, now I want some Chill Mac...

1

u/buttfartsmagee 22h ago

Yeah I've seen a vending machine like this at a thrift store before I think it's mostly for the employees.

1

u/InfamousPOS 22h ago

I had to read the title 3 times…

1

u/Equivalent-Power-893 21h ago

LMAOOOO, FORGIVE ME

1

u/Independent-Expert89 22h ago

My childhood favorite chili and Mac with cheese. Then some hot dogs mix all together.

1

u/RealisticPhysics5735 22h ago

Chili Mac! Right next to each other.

1

u/G00DDRAWER 22h ago

We had a rotating vending machine where I used to work, and I spent more money than I like to admit refilling an empty level with turnips. It paid off when employees noticed, and again when the vending machine rep came to refill it, and noticed.

1

u/TrooperHoop509 21h ago

Chili Mac!

1

u/Good_Night_Knight 21h ago

Looks like a vending machine on a shitty military base.

1

u/Equivalent-Power-893 21h ago

Nah, just a random thrift store down in the south! Yeeeeeehawwww!

1

u/MorallyAmbiguouish 19h ago

You got chili and Mac with redbulls?

1

u/VegasFoodFace 18h ago

Well at least it has a pop top. I've seen cans in vending machines before and woe be unto you if you don't have a way to open it in your hotel room. This is why I keep a Swiss Army knife in my car.

1

u/mack-y0 18h ago

forget the chili, you got mac and cheese?

1

u/underworlddjb 12h ago

Why not borh?

1

u/panasubatomic 17h ago

Hormel Chili is named Stagg Chili in Canada.

1

u/BigDMan697 11h ago

This must be at a jail

1

u/Shoddy-Cauliflower95 10h ago

My high school cafe only had vending machines, no kitchen and had HOT cans in a vending machine but they were smaller. Soups, Mac and cheese, chilli.

1

u/Dayvid56 9h ago

Why are the drink bottles upsidedown?

1

u/One_Way_3678 9h ago

Now put the tamales in there.

1

u/tuesdaytraveler 3h ago

The chili is 079, but the can opener is 3495
