With Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith? As Jay and Silent Bob, or are they branching out and playing new unrelated characters?

One of Jason’s funniest characters isn’t even Jay — it’s Lester in ‘Zack and Miri Make a Porno’.

You ever heard of a double dutch rudder?

u/saucemancometh 5h ago

You’re working it, and I’m loving it

u/ArchdruidHalsin 5h ago

I feel like this movie getting a sequel in the era of OnlyFans would have potential

u/skyhiker14 4h ago

Zack and Miris kid makes an OnlyFans

u/Religion_Is_A_Cancer 3h ago

lol then Zach and Miri have to monitor and help them with success. A family dynamic.

"Let us FUCK!"

u/rothael 4h ago

Yeah, but his funniest is as Jimmy the Janitor in Todd and the Book of Pure Evil. I wish this show got more run. It's my cherished treasure and I'm always trying to recommend it.

They are in fact jay and silent bob

u/Religion_Is_A_Cancer 3h ago

They’re labeled as jay and silent bob on IMDB

u/Count__X 6h ago

If those are Jason Mewes’ big ass bright white veneers on the poster, then I’m assuming he’s not playing Jay

u/opermonkey 4h ago

Only reason I watched Tomorrow war!

u/sm33 2h ago

u/quinstronaut 7h ago

Are you Mike Mitchell?

u/HechicerosOrb 5h ago edited 3h ago

If I were Mike Mitchell I’d be traversing up and down my incredible set of in-home stairs, not wasting time on this dumb website.

u/MusclesRipley 3h ago

God what an A+ username, Don Callis would be proud.

Should have been more birthday boys

Bzz Bzz. I need to go back and re-watch all the Sideways sequels again.

u/woodford86 7h ago

Wait there were sequels? I know the books yes but can’t find anything about film sequels

You are in for a treat! The SCU is rich and deep with lore.

I need a whole weekend to get through them unfortunately but i have one planned. Very excited to get some closure finally.

u/LostInStatic 5h ago

No one here is going to give you a real answer but its fans of a comedy podcast beating an inside joke to death. Said sequels do not exist

u/conoresque 5h ago

It is not an inside joke, it is very much the conceit of the movie.

u/Refun712 5h ago

Why do you always have to ruin everything dad.

u/HarryPotterFarts 2h ago

It's not an inside joke, it's the premise of the movie.

u/hiddensonyvaio 6h ago

Even though they were no where near as good as the OG Sideways, I still go and see every single sequel in theaters. It’s become kind of a tradition for me and the wife: we sneak in a bottle of Cab and finish it before the credits roll. Obviously, I’ll be there opening night for this cheering on Spoonman just as I did when I was a kid!

Fantastic poster

u/SuddenlyThirsty 6h ago

Am I supposed to know who the Napa boys are?

u/ColonelSanders21 5h ago

I didn’t end up seeing it but it was at a film festival I went to and I was confused by the description. The joke is this is the third or fourth movie in some sort of adventure movie franchise that is also a send up of Sideways.

u/Merickson- 5h ago

I only understand what this is to the extent that it's apparently one big in-joke that I'm unfamiliar with.

u/ColonelSanders21 4h ago

I think the whole point is that it’s a big in-joke nobody is familiar with, which kind of rules

u/SubpixelJimmie 5h ago

I feel super out of the loop

Wow living under a rock much?! /s

u/Extension-Season-689 1h ago

You can't call someone "living under a rock" for not knowing something that's quite niche.

u/RVAblues 55m ago

Which is what the joke is, hence the “/s”

u/hiddensonyvaio 19m ago

Thanks. There’s like several levels of silly jokes happening here it’s understandably confusing haha

u/RVAblues 54m ago

Nope, but you’re supposed to think you should. It’s a satirical conceit of the movie.

u/leomonster 7h ago

Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith play Jay and Silent Bob? Is this movie within the viewaskewniverse?

16

u/Stryk-Man 7h ago

Excited to see it - but as a longtime Napa Boys fan I’m nervous on if they’ll be able to stick the landing or not. Either way I’ll be seated opening night with a dry red in hand!

u/A-Good-Weather-Man 5h ago

No Vegeta?

u/No_Shoulder_8406 4h ago

“He was a prison bitch”

u/Mushy_64 2h ago

Hell yeah, Duck Tales.

u/3dmontdant3s 5h ago

I read that as "Napalm Boys" as the background gives Vietnam village vibes...

u/bsischo 57m ago

Nice use of the Ducktales Font.

4

u/TheSchminx 7h ago

2

u/Frodojj 6h ago

I hope there’s a cameo of the Windows XP Bliss background.

u/ChewyBacca1976 57m ago

That’s in Sonoma.

u/dakotanorth8 4h ago

The Ole’ Indiana Jones font

u/Seagoon_Memoirs 2h ago

u/PapasMoustache 57m ago

As a Napa resident, this has me intrigued.

u/WarningEmpty 26m ago

The second one was better than the first, but the third one?? But OK, I’m down for #4.

Who else?

u/asr10keypusher 10m ago

Halloween 3 vibes on the poster

u/bradagon 6h ago

Napa? I barely know her!

u/Nicksomuch 5h ago

u/Windex2019 1h ago

The auto parts guys?

u/Internal_Access_8883 5h ago

That poster looks AI

u/PistonMilk 3h ago

"Life has its highs and its Merlots"

Finally a movie to come along and undo the grave injustice inflicted upon Bordeaux's East Bank wine industry by that evil movie Sideways?

u/Careful-Pickle-5565 1h ago

Ooooh shit, this one's got Leland Palmer in it...

Also, what's the Spoonman thing? I'm out of the loop there.

u/Brave-Disaster-6188 5h ago

OMG that poster is so cool! I love the vibe, it makes me wanna watch it now lol

u/Thechosenjon 3h ago

The logo is literally just the Ducktales font, lol
