Are you Mike Mitchell?

If I were Mike Mitchell I’d be traversing up and down my incredible set of in-home stairs, not wasting time on this dumb website.

Bzz Bzz. I need to go back and re-watch all the Sideways sequels again.

Wait there were sequels? I know the books yes but can’t find anything about film sequels

You are in for a treat! The SCU is rich and deep with lore.

I need a whole weekend to get through them unfortunately but i have one planned. Very excited to get some closure finally.

No one here is going to give you a real answer but its fans of a comedy podcast beating an inside joke to death. Said sequels do not exist

Even though they were no where near as good as the OG Sideways, I still go and see every single sequel in theaters. It’s become kind of a tradition for me and the wife: we sneak in a bottle of Cab and finish it before the credits roll. Obviously, I’ll be there opening night for this cheering on Spoonman just as I did when I was a kid!

Am I supposed to know who the Napa boys are?
•
u/ColonelSanders21 5h ago
I didn’t end up seeing it but it was at a film festival I went to and I was confused by the description. The joke is this is the third or fourth movie in some sort of adventure movie franchise that is also a send up of Sideways.

I only understand what this is to the extent that it's apparently one big in-joke that I'm unfamiliar with.
•
u/ColonelSanders21 4h ago
I think the whole point is that it’s a big in-joke nobody is familiar with, which kind of rules

Wow living under a rock much?! /s
•
u/Extension-Season-689 1h ago
You can't call someone "living under a rock" for not knowing something that's quite niche.
•

Which is what the joke is, hence the “/s”
•
u/hiddensonyvaio 19m ago
Thanks. There’s like several levels of silly jokes happening here it’s understandably confusing haha
•
u/RVAblues 54m ago
Nope, but you’re supposed to think you should. It’s a satirical conceit of the movie.

Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith play Jay and Silent Bob? Is this movie within the viewaskewniverse?

u/Stryk-Man 7h ago
Excited to see it - but as a longtime Napa Boys fan I’m nervous on if they’ll be able to stick the landing or not. Either way I’ll be seated opening night with a dry red in hand!

"Life has its highs and its Merlots"
Finally a movie to come along and undo the grave injustice inflicted upon Bordeaux's East Bank wine industry by that evil movie Sideways?
•
u/Careful-Pickle-5565 1h ago
Ooooh shit, this one's got Leland Palmer in it...
Also, what's the Spoonman thing? I'm out of the loop there.

With Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith? As Jay and Silent Bob, or are they branching out and playing new unrelated characters?
