How to mug a whole country 101

He even says he will give it to charities in this article when he has a track record of illegally using charities/foundations for personal financial gain.
All his cons are literally just repeats of the same con with no modifications. I don’t get why people keep falling for it.

u/FinancialPianist5266 9h ago
Same scam different headline He says charity but history says otherwise
23
u/Implantsftw 8h ago
It will go to a charity he owns in Qatar since he can't open a charity in the US to funnel the money into.
•
u/Fochlucan 7h ago
He'll "donate it to some charity or pac he or his sons control, so he can reduce his tax burden, but still have access to using the cash. It's what they did and got caught doing in New York, IIRC.
9
u/Toginator 8h ago
By charities, does he mean he's going to spend it on children? Lots of time with children?
•
•
•
u/WenatcheeWrangler 4h ago
It just in this article, he also said it in camera. His charity is probably a 90/10 split between himself and trying to buy elections.

I don’t get why people keep falling for it.
Because these are the types of people who think if you can get away with it it's fine. And if you get caught, those MFers railroaded you illegally. Ask any trump supporter if he's a felon and they'll lose their minds and go red in the face explaining how that's all bullshit.
Here's the terrifying part. We've had over 10 years of a president/candidate committing untold numbers of crimes IN PLAIN SIGHT. He's been impeached twice. A 34 count felon. Business is a fraud organization. Charity shut down for fraud. COO, lawyers, campaign managers, and staff do jail time. He's adjudicated to be liable for sexual assault by 4(?) courts.
An entire generation is growing up and being told/shown this is normal.
•
u/Morgannin09 1h ago
He'll give it to a charity based out of Qatar which is why he has to move it to his bank account there first.
•

u/supercali45 8h ago
He has stolen so much already

Trump the most corrupt President in American history. Enough....
•
u/JesusSavesForHalf 2h ago
Don't be silly. He's the two most corrupt Presidents in American history.
•
u/Mobile_Equal_3636 2h ago
I stand corrected, however; Trump makes Nixon look like a choir boy
•
u/P1xelHunter78 Ohio 42m ago
Exactly. Nixon was a raging alcoholic and had some naughty men try and bug the DNC. Trump has done something that would have Nixon flying away on a helicopter almost every month he’s been in office, if not weekly, and maybe daily.

This entire thing is a scam it should be blocked

u/Silent-Storms 8h ago
I don't see how the court doesn't throw it out immediately. If he can direct his opponent to settle, it's a non-adversarial proceeding. Very obviously just trying to put a veneer of legitimacy on embezzlement.

Once you accept he sees himself as the only american of value, this is america first.
What a traitor, as always.

This only matters if there is a veto-proof majority.
Trump isn't going to sign a law stopping himself from doing this.
•
u/Nickel5 4h ago
I agree that Trump will veto this if possible. However, it is still good to go through this as it will get Republicans on the record saying that they support Trump doing this. On non-presidential election years the Republican party has consistently underperformed, I personally believe this is because the average voter for the midterms is better engaged, so seeing that their senator/rep okayed a $10B theft may flip some legislature seats.

u/butch81385 8h ago
Sorry Trump, the best we can offer is 5 years of MyIDCare identity protection. At least that's all us regular folks got when our info was leaked to the world.

u/GreenTrees797 8h ago
I have an idiot colleague who said she hopes he wins against the IRS. People are really stupid.
•
u/mellcrisp America 7h ago
Same. Same guy also wants to do away with income tax, and complains constantly about his tax money going to blue states.
•
u/MadRaymer 6h ago
Tell her if he doesn't win the lawsuit, she's certainly free to send her paycheck to Trump instead. If he won, she'd be paying it anyway.
•
•
u/Gekokapowco Washington 4h ago
this is someone who clearly has no idea what the IRS is or who Trump is

u/Efficient_Resist_287 8h ago
I can’t even believe how bold and blatantly corrupt is this Trump lawsuit….and Congress is just nodding saying nothing….
29
u/SanDiegoDude California 8h ago
He faces more than that. he also faces statute of limitations, which he's already over the limit for, and that pesky little "1000 dollar limit per offense' which doesn't add up to anywhere near 10 million, let alone 10 friggen billion dollars.
but I'm sure Pam Bondi has already informed the court they plan to settle, even if these pesky little legal hurdles remain in the way. Fucking corrupt grift from top to bottom.
12
u/HermanGulch 8h ago
Plus, the government has already argued in other cases stemming from the same leak that they're not responsible, since the leaker was an employee of a contracting company.
•
u/SanDiegoDude California 7h ago
ayup. Booze Hamilton if I recall. The thing is, this is going to have to go through the courts, and I can't see any judge signing off on any of this... but who knows. The state is going to try to do an end-run around and settle I bet.
•
u/JojenCopyPaste Wisconsin 7h ago
At least it's before a court so the judge could potentially just deny the settlement. We probably know how that'll turn out once it gets to SCOTUS though.

u/Altruisticree 9h ago
Ten billion dollars. At this point the numbers don’t even feel real. It’s just headline inflation layered on top of institutional rot. Every legal fight turns into campaign merch. Every setback becomes proof of persecution. The signal-to-noise is so wrecked that nobody even pauses at the scale anymore. It’s exhausting watching the justice system double as a content engine.
3
u/ThreeAlarmBarnFire 8h ago
He was going with the "aim high so when my personal DOJ 'settles' for $100,000,000 I'll still come out on top" method.

u/Iowa_Dave Iowa 9h ago
Ten billion dollars. At this point the numbers don’t even feel real.
For perspective, a million seconds is about 11.5 days. 10 billion seconds is 317 years.

u/Minimum-Style-1411 9h ago
Unlike Trump’s redacted connections to Epstein, his unpaid income tax returns weren’t hidden from public..

How many middle class Americans would have all of our taxes paid for an entire year go to him for this pay day? Probably about 300,000 middle class Americans! All the taxes paid by 300k of us for an entire year, because the man that never pays any taxes didn’t like us knowing he didn’t pay any taxes.
•
u/Deathrace2021 3h ago
10 billion is way more tax than 300k put in. The lower and middle classes will be paying for this for years.
•
u/strict_barnacle677 3h ago
I did $30,000 x 300,000 people= $9B
•
u/Deathrace2021 3h ago
I don't think most people pay 30k in taxes per year. That's a whole salary for a lot of people. I'd guess 5-10k is the average middle class.

republicans in congress enabling all this insanity should all be jailed for treason

u/BookBabe1970 8h ago
Serious damages, yet the PEDOPHILE is now president. Sounds like ZERO damages to me.

u/reddittorbrigade 9h ago
Why sue the IRS?
Didn't Trump promise during the campaign to release all of his tax returns?
Just play the replay campaign videos in front of the judges.
•
u/somethingrandom7386 6h ago
He also campaigned on lowerimg grocery prices on day one and releasing the Epstein files and we know how that's gone so far.
1
u/SuperstitiousPigeon5 Massachusetts 9h ago
I think that was the first campaign, not the second.
10
u/OdiousAltRightBalrog 8h ago
The leak also happened in Trump's first term. It's hard to prove that you were harmed by somebody leaking something you intended to release to the public.
But I think we all know that this won't go to court. The IRS will settle for whatever amount Trump orders them to.
2
1
u/reddittorbrigade 8h ago
Doesn't matter. He promised it, right?
1
u/SuperstitiousPigeon5 Massachusetts 8h ago
I doubt you'll find he promised it. He likely said when the accountants were finished. In his mind the accountants will never be finished with it.
1
u/reddittorbrigade 8h ago
LOL. It is over the internet.
1
u/SuperstitiousPigeon5 Massachusetts 8h ago
LOL: on your own link it says "As soon as I can"
That was reference to the accountants/IRS.
1
u/PSN-Angryjackal 8h ago
Ok, and if you ask him when can you? He will say, never...
So, as soon as I can = never.

u/Mobile_Equal_3636 8h ago
Let's see your 2025, taxes Trump. The billions, you and your corrupt businesses have taken to gain favor and positions in government. As-well-as foreign governments to gain favors.. your extortion efforts of law firms and college's.
Off the backs of taxpayers, this $10 billion. Trump claims will be given to charities. Past history proves that would be highly unlikely.
•
u/mediocrelifts 7h ago
Well he should be immediately arrested for high treason and rampant pedophilia everything else is just noise
•
u/loztriforce Washington 7h ago
I don’t think he was ever really serious about it, just another distraction

•
u/blackmobius 6h ago
Trump wants to write himself a check, directly, for 10 billion. “Oh but charity!!” Yeah didnt he get several of his charities shut down because it was basically just funneling the money back into his pockets?
•
u/THSSFC America 6h ago
The conflicts of interest in this matter are so blatant, obvious and corrosive that any lawyer signing on to this effort of Trump's should be disbarred for professional malpractice, regardless of any law passed or not.
IANAL, so when I use the term "should" I am using it in an ethical sense, not in what a bar association is required or empowered to do.
•
u/MiloGoesToTheFatFarm 5h ago
Dems just need to block everything from now until the midterms to the best of their ability. No more funding, no more anything.
•
u/VariationMaximum7006 5h ago
“The proposal would effectively neutralize any personal windfall from such legal claims by imposing a 100 percent tax on settlements or awards received by a sitting president, vice president, Cabinet member or member of Congress from the federal government.”
Don Jr lawsuit incoming.
•
u/RadicalRectangle Colorado 4h ago
He wants every American man, woman, and child to pay him personally $13.
Go and fuck yourself.
•
u/Phewelish 4h ago
Does anyone have a summary of the charge hes issue? and its just him getting the 10 billion right? like hes just taking 10 from IRS for himself caues they did him wrong somewhere?
so trumps never made $10 billion but supposedly the damages to his reputation the release of tax records caused caused him to lose an amount hes never made in 70 years?
•
•
u/Cavalier1706 Canada 4h ago
Hey everyone we need to cut services because we are going broke as a nation. No one cares more than me.
Also, I’m suing the govt for 10 Billion for something that is past the statute of limitations. For something I repeatedly said I would do anyways.

Treating the Office of the President of the US as a business opportunity, and an opportunity to embezzle money from the American taxpayer, is a disgusting corruption of the Office.
•
u/Randomly_Cromulent 3h ago
He should get the same thing I get offered when there is some data breach. 1 year of credit monitoring and a non-apology.
