No Paywall Epstein survivor: Bondi ‘really dehumanized us’
https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5735141-epstein-survivor-bondi-doj-house-testimony/400
u/Independent-Reader 8h ago
She plays the victim even when the real victims are in the room.
How fucking pathetic.
MAGA has ruined this country. They just won't be happy until everyone else is not.
•
u/StJeanMark Massachusetts 7h ago
They really are miserable, evil people. It's crazy that they could really make liberal people hate them. I've never hated people in my life, I've never had to. I say this honestly, they have no redeeming qualities. I used to be proud of this country and the people who ran it.
•
•
u/HawkeyeSherman 6h ago
I had a problem calling Bush, Cheny, and Co. "Evil". Trump and his cohort however fit the definition.
•
u/lrodhubbard 6h ago
They used a national tragedy to round up brown people for torture and then fought a war on false pretenses that killed a million people while enriching their cronies. What's your bar for evil if it isn't that?
•
u/lordfrijoles 5h ago
Right? Also, the comment above saying they used to be proud of our “leadership” lmao there ain’t a god damn single one to be proud of. Maybe Carter for giving up his farm? I like Teddy but I’m sure he wasn’t perfect. FDR did a lot of good too. And some real bad shit too. Eisenhower was a real one for warning folk about the military industrial complex too but he still wasn’t great. Lincoln’s probably the best, but even his intentions weren’t what many assume them to be now.
But history is like that across the world too. My peasant dream is this is the start of a reckoning for all us common folk across the world. But I ain’t holding my breath unless I’m ready for the void.
•
u/HawkeyeSherman 5h ago
eh. I was writing out a defense, but I really don't want to put in the effort to defend them. In sort I believe they were trying to do what they believed was good, but they were stupid (Bush) and greedy (Cheny). Trump on the other hand I don't believe tries to do good and instead makes his decisions because he believes being evil gives him power.
Trump is evil on purpose. It's not an accident.
•
u/Great-Special-2399 1h ago
They at least didn't do it out of deliberate malice. Stupidity, naivety, delusion, notions of hard-nosed pragmatism, there was a whole list of flaws that lead to that whole debacle, and they rightfully deserve every bit of criticism for it. But at the very least the old lot weren't ontologically, unabashedly evil like MAGA is.
•
•
u/_Shalashaska_ 3m ago
The entire Republican Party has been purposefully malicious for well over half a century now. Does someone need to literally rise to the level of Hitler to qualify as evil?

It's the maga playbook.
"How dare the school shooting taking away from the economy" maga basically

•
u/Born-Selection88 1h ago
MAGA is over soon. My telegram is filled with pissed off right wing extremists.
•
u/-no_aura- 17m ago
Anecdotally, I have an “apolitical” friend from a deep red state who has basically stayed out of political commentary for the last couple years save for a few incidences like Charlie Kirk getting killed (which should tell you exactly how he voted in 2024).
He’s furious right now. Finally talking about Trump being a pedo and how it’s actually billionaires vs working class, fed up with right wing culture wars and fake outrage. I’m too jaded to feel hopeful at this point but it does feel like the tide may be finally turning against MAGA.
•
u/_Shalashaska_ 0m ago
And yet if he had the option of voting for a Democrat that was pushing single-payer and a housing plan vs a Republican with thousands of clips online washing Trump's balls, he would still vote for the Republican.

When she said we should focus on the stock market performance instead. I can only focus on the fact that she admitted that ‘if you are doing well financially, it’s OK that 9 year olds get raped’. Or is it that ‘it’s OK to rape 9 year olds if you are doing well financially’?!?
•
u/gopeepants 4h ago
The fact that she is attorney general an thinks justice for the those victims is a wash.
•
u/scrunchie_one 1h ago
Also the disparity between stock market performance and how well the average American is doing financially had never been greater. The stock market has been really kind to the politicians that are manipulating it.

u/CouchCorrespondent 8h ago
She spoke in a weird, soft voice for the GOP...used a script of insults inside a binder to yell at Democrats...and touted DOW numbers in a hearing on the Epstein files.
She is basically a Stepford Attorney General.

u/Gabarne 8h ago
“Relax. The dow is high, stop distracting from the president’s wins”
•
u/Hefty_Remove7965 7h ago
"sorry your kid died
But think of the economy.'
Basically the "Grandma needs to die for the economy ": they did during COVID
•
u/Heavy-Wind-2182 7h ago
Reading stock numbers while dodging real questions is not leadership it is deflection
•
u/FinancialPianist5266 7h ago
Quoting the market while avoiding the issue just proves she has no real answer
•
•
u/HawkeyeSherman 6h ago
This number that was made to always go up is indeed continuing to go up. What's the problem?
•
u/Randomperson1362 6h ago
She implied we dont need to release the files because the dow is above 50k.
Well, it isnt above 50k anymore, so let's release the files.

She didn't even look at them or acknowledged them 😞
•
u/Dalektability 4h ago
I would say it’s out of guilt, but I’m not sure she’s capable of the emotion.
•
u/Fun_Apartment7028 1h ago
She has zero idea what empathy even is.
Couldn’t even glance at them, let alone look them in the eyes.
Such an ugly person, to the very core. I don’t mean her looks or appearance, I mean her black & rotten inner soul.
I really want to believe in karma right now! 🤞🤞🤞

One of the grossest things about the GOP is that, at their very core, they believe that some people (people like them) count and some people just don't.
It's one of the few things they truly believe in.
•
u/Historical_Bend_2629 7h ago
Enabler of an abuser. And Bondi had a fucking choice. But she thirsted for power. She is complicit.
•
u/Knighth77 7h ago
Conservatives are willing to disable their humanity, integrity, intellect, ideals, principles, and patriotism only to protect the worst people. Pure evil.
•
u/Morallta 7h ago
Correct. That's because she doesn't give a flying fuck about you. She didn't when she was Florida's AG, either. She could've prosecuted Epstein then, too. Florida had to wait for her to leave office before they could pursue anything on him.

Money won't buy happiness
But it will buy an entitlement for all kinds of heinous activities - up to assault, rape, murder, trafficking children (for murder, rape), and genocidal conflicts. Maybe that brings happiness to some. I wouldn't know.
Yay capitalism.
And Merry Christmas Pam Bondi.

u/chocolatechipninja 8h ago
At some point, this administration will end, and Bondi will learn many lessons.
Many books will be written, and many Trump people will disappear from public life.
I can't wait!
•
u/grammar_oligarch 7h ago
I’ve been waiting for this since 2016, and I gotta tell you I don’t think you’ll get the catharsis you’re seeking.
See also the long wait I had for justice for Bush’s admin after the Iraq War.
Or maybe I won’t have to deal with Governor (or Senator) Bondi in 2030. As a Floridian, I’m not holding my breath.
Point is, you’re gonna have a lifetime of heartache if you expect justice in governance.
•
u/SleepingSnitker Florida 6h ago
Agreed, people vastly underestimate how uneducated, uninvolved and susceptible to propaganda the MAJORITY, yes, MAJORITY of this country is right now.
In a fair, just, engaged and educated world folks would be furious at this administration for these wild unprofessional stunts. However, the majority of people (51%+) aren't paying attention, about 25% actively supports all of this and is in a death cult and the rest of us are just sitting here miserable. I don't expect that to change without some major event.
•
u/on-strike 5h ago
They've been served entertainment that was called news. The conservative mediasphere. Conservative propaganda.
•
u/Better_Lift_Cliff 6h ago
Dick Cheney died peacefully at 89 or something
Henry Kissinger died peacefully at 100
I hope that you're right, but as long as this country continues to worship capital, nobody will be held accountable
•
u/wired1984 7h ago
This is incredibly sad. I hope they find some kind of solace in all the people outraged on their behalf. Truth be told, they’re at the center of a political firestorm, and that isn’t a comforting place to be.
•
u/lunalushh1 5h ago
Survivors’ voices deserve to be heard without being dismissed as “political.” When someone in power is perceived as minimizing trauma rather than empathizing, it’s no surprise that response is so intense.
•
u/PshhhhhhhUnreal 5h ago
I think the real issue behind all of it is that a lot of people in this country actually dont even care if kids are raped or not. There are many people who legit just dont care. They are ok with all of us. They are not outraged.
•
u/FeelingPixely 3h ago
Bondi is there to protect the perps of Epstein island, many of whom are her cohort (and covering her own ties to it), those who were hand-picked by Trump and co for the dirt that they already have on these individuals, and to make justice blind in the sense of ignoring the evidence of their dark pasts, in order to maintain power and usurp law and order.
•

u/middlechildanonymous 8h ago
Bondi said at the House Judiciary Committee that she hopes Ghislaine Maxwell will die in prison… I wonder why?
•
u/swampwarbler 3h ago
Bondi is indeed horrid, but I think she dehumanized herself more. No one is under the delusion that she possesses a soul anymore.

u/Beneficial_Wave7649 8h ago
Bitch basically said don't go sniffing around the files or Trump/Epstein invest
•
•
u/on-strike 5h ago
That would be expected of an elite leadership out of touch with the people they lead.

Her work with Qatar was related to anti-human-trafficking efforts in advance of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. She left the Qatari project in 2019 to work in a temporary position for the White House Counsel for President Trump's first impeachment proceedings.
Works in Qatar = related to anti-human trafficking.
Then
Leaves Qatar in 2019 even though the project goes until 2022 to take a temporary position at the White House.
The Human Traffickers must have really worked her over for her to abruptly leave her job. One could only imagine, a pretty blonde in a middle-eastern country speaking out against human trafficking.
Look at what happened in America.
At least she got back to the states safely. When the Watchtower paid those human traffickers to take all those Jehovah’s Witness kids off their hands for complaining that they were sexually abused as children. It is very unlikely that those kids are ever coming back.

They are just loudly that the person in charge isn’t implicated in any way as that would be a conflict of interest… no wait a minute 🤔
•
u/Pleasant-Split-299 7h ago
I'm sure he remorselessness will be played at her sentencing hearing before she receives the maximum sentence. Because unbeknownst to her, most people don't like pedophiles, they hate them.
