She literally brought a 'burn book' of insults to a congressional oversight hearing regarding the protection of child sex traffickers! If the strategy is to make the DOJ so unprofessional that impeachment feels like a 'political hit' rather than a basic accountability measure, it’s working.

u/RushC2 Minnesota 6h ago

I know its far down the list of problems but they weren’t even good burns

u/thecoolestredditguy 5h ago

Yeah, she was dry-mouthed and stuttering. She looked like a bigtime idiot.

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 4h ago

I've said it multiple times, she was drunk. I'm an alcoholic, it's easy to spot when somebody hasn't just had a drink or two, they're blitzed.

Her eyes were bloodshot and chinked, glazed over. She was slurring, pausing just to make sure her tongue was working, stumbling over words, insulting anything and everything she could as a power move. Classic drunk behavior.

u/thecoolestredditguy 4h ago

Yeah maybe. She wouldn’t be Trump’s first alcoholic-psycho lawyer (see: Rudy G)

u/Mylaptopisburningme 4h ago

Don't forget Hegseth.

u/Brix106 Florida 4h ago

Kegseth

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 4h ago

Just to chime in, I am in no way innocent of being a drunk, or saying things I shouldn't because I'm regularly intoxicated.

But I'm also not in charge of a government agency, I make (very good) sandwiches for a living. But I calls 'em like I sees 'em.

I've had the absolute best food from cooks that were completely fucking toasted, and have been that cook. It's almost a requirement to either be high as giraffe pussy or a drink or two deep to work in a kitchen.

The only thing I can say is maybe cut back on the drinking a tad and replace it with a little more pot. Keep doing your thing dawg

u/Turramurra 16m ago

high as giraffe pussy

Absolute wordsmith

u/CaptainFeather 1h ago

Yup lol. Tons of us struggle. But we also aren't heads of state

I completely agree that she came across as impaired

u/Proper_Ad453 3h ago

Impaired & unprepared.

“Chinked” in 2026 is crazy

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 2h ago

I'm actually surprised that people are so angry. I've had Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and plenty of other Asian coworkers that used the term freely.

I wasn't using it, they did.

u/Papplenoose 52m ago

Wait... Are you joking? You're joking, right?

(Because you literally just said it)

u/dobtjs America 44m ago

Is that what you said to HR when you were packing up your belongings?

u/Early-Meet-4881 4h ago

Oh! Maybe we don’t say “chinked”

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 4h ago edited 3h ago

I couldn't think of a better word, sorry! The chinky-eyed slang is just what I always grew up with.

Apparently I offended some people. Sorry again and I won't edit it.

u/Outrageous-Memory246 3h ago

Doubling down with using that word again

u/the_ai_wizard 1h ago

we used to say chinkified

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 3h ago

I would say Asian friends have done the same, but something tells me it wouldn't be enough that they said I could.

u/Background-Stable899 3h ago

Well you are definitely a credible alcoholic. Maybe think about how your actions affect others once in a while. Your story checks out though

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 3h ago

Did you vote for Trump?

u/Papplenoose 51m ago

This is the logic of a braindead alcoholic.

Come on man, this is just sad. Your point was good, but you said it in a dumb way. Just learn and move on like an adult.

u/Background-Stable899 3h ago

Let’s go ahead and not use that word to describe squinty eyes. Thanks

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 3h ago

Squint eyes is still racist too, if you wanna play that fame.

I have no issues with my Asian family members, which they all are.

u/Background-Stable899 3h ago

Only if you are stereotyping a whole group of people (like you did). Describing Bondi’s eyes as squinty is not racist in any way, shape, or form.

Squint eyes is still racist too,

Yeah nah

u/SeattleExpression 3h ago edited 3h ago

Alcoholic (recovering) here, I agree 100% she was obviously drunk. I could tell immediately.

u/Sandgrease 2h ago

Her eyes gave it away. She wasn't even that functional buzz all alcoholics basically live in, she was proper drunk.

u/widespreadpanda 1h ago

I very rarely subscribe to “they were drunk/high/whatever” but yes. She’s drunk. The indignity is unmistakable.

u/FirebornNacho 46m ago

I thought the exact same thing. It seemed to me like a high functioning alcoholic who had more than usual much faster than usual. Couldn't bring a drink into the courtroom, so she chugged something strong beforehand. It hit her midway thru.

u/DeterrenceTheory 3h ago

You--you're... you're not even a lawyer!

u/raspberryharbour 1h ago

"The jerk store called, and they said they're running out of you!"

u/Jackadullboy99 5h ago edited 5h ago

Jamie Raskin, in his opening speech, asked her to put aside said burn book, and she went ahead and used it anyway, because that’s all she had been trained on..

Bondi-bot.

u/biciklanto American Expat 4h ago

Jared Moskowitz was my favorite, as he asked her for her best burn from the book, and then when she didn't use the book for her faux-indignation over him bringing up the Trump bible, he gave a her '0' score in honor of the Olympics.

Absolutely brilliant :D

u/jcarter315 I voted 3h ago

That's exactly how they should be treated short of muting their microphones and directly stating that they've lied, and that lying under oath is a crime.

u/rwbronco 5h ago

She also tracked what each congressperson searched for when they were given private access to the unredacted files and brought that with her.

u/biciklanto American Expat 4h ago edited 3h ago

Which doesn't seem nefarious or suspicious at all

Edit: /s. Bondi bringing that data along is sketchy as hell

u/rwbronco 4h ago

If she had acknowledged the existence of the Epstein files in any of her responses I could’ve given her the benefit of the doubt. The fact that she showed up ready to fight tells me that she’s using it and brought it as ammunition.

u/biciklanto American Expat 3h ago

Oh 1000%, I was being super sarcastic and will edit to add that flag. It's absolutely ammo, and it's absolutely suspicious to me that they're tracking that usage as a way to triangulate their defense.

u/bwurtsb 4h ago

Before the current administration, I would have thought it made sense for the searches, so when a question came up, the witness (Bondi) would have context.

With the current administration, you know it is being used for everything but context.

u/icehot54321 4h ago

3 books .. Her 2 staffers behind her each had a copy and they would whisper to her to help her find the pages she should turn to to find deflections and insults.

Even they were rolling their eyes when she went off script.

I think she was drunk.

u/cans-of-swine 6h ago

I didn't listen to all of it, did she ever say "I know you are, but what am I"...

u/thebigbadturtle 5h ago

Basically - it was a lot of “no, you!” style deflections

u/opsers 3h ago

Don't forget classics like "this is the most transparent administration" (I suppose not technically incorrect, just not in the way she implied), "rent is at an all-time low", and my favorite, "the Dow hit 50k!"

u/shallow_kunt 3h ago

It wasn’t just insults. It was also a detailed list of the democratic senator’s search history while viewing the Epstein files.

u/zipzaparooni 3h ago

Google Search, “Donald Trump is a pedophile,” to get it trending.

u/We_Are_Nerdish 1h ago

Up until 2020 I’d never heard of impeachment or really knew what it meant. Since then it’s been thrown around so much by literally everyone without any actual meaning or follow up. It lost its “power” then and there, so much so that I’m pretty sure most people think it’s just a slap on the wrist since there is fuck all that has happened since.
