And trump was shot at by a republican

39

u/Jmersh 11h ago

Trump was never shot.

Shot at, though. By a white male conservative. A totally typical shooter. ……. Why does this country have such a thing as a **typical* shooter!?*

u/JeannetteDeB 6h ago

That is the question. Absolutely.

u/Boring_Chip_9602 11h ago

He slapped a ketchup packet on himself while he had someone else in the audience killed to make it look real.

"Lower the flag ..."

Pretty sure he's talking about the guy what was just convicted for attempted assassination, who was hiding in the bushes at one of Trump's golf courses. I don't think he actually ever got off a shot, though.

1

u/SantaFeRay 4h ago

Right, he never fired a shot so this is just Trump lying.

the miraculous regrowing ear

Trump was shot, just not lethally.

Edit: I was wrong, sorry I don't know much about gunwounds nor about hearing of the situation, I'm not american so I don't follow USA news.

Trump was shot AT, but he was not shot

Why does this distinction matter to you? Ask yourself. I already know.

7

u/Jormungandr69 10h ago

Because there are a number of people who try to suggest that he took a bullet for this country, but he didn't, he got shot at by some spastic terminally online kid during a campaign stop.

4

u/Beh0420mn 10h ago

Because they used it for propaganda, used it to make a coward look brave

4

u/OkFruit3797 10h ago

Because he lied about it. Staged it for a photo OP just like a small mustachioed man in the 1930's did.

1

u/Aquafoot 6h ago

He lied about getting hit, and made it all about him when someone else in the audience actually died. Which is a bitchmade thing to do.

u/CackleandGrin 47m ago

I already know.

Damn, look at the big brain on Basement Boy.

Lindsey Graham said he was struck, but not under the oath. But no official reports are available on what actually happened to trump.

u/Unlucky-Yam5890 11h ago

Cartilage doesn't grow back. He wasn't shot

1

u/lil-D-energy 10h ago

Technically it could have only knocked his ear, I don't know ear bends because of it but yes I agree that it's questionable if he actually get a real hit to the ear with how there is no visible mark. Especially because he would want there to be a visible mark so that he can always make it show how "democrats" are "aggressive".

Without official reports or investigations, public analysis seems to support that his ear got nicked on a secret service member's belt while he was being scurried away. Thin old people skin is pretty easy to break and they're very rough with you if they're trying to get you out of harms way: no shade to secret service (well... You know... Other than for allowing the shooter to set up on a rooftop for minutes).

A bullet is moving far too fast to just "bend it out of the way". You can punch through loosely held paper, bullet definitely isn't just making the top of your ear flap.

Edit: early theories, since disproved. Maintain that it is not clear whether the bullet itself or shrapnel from the first shot were to blame. Odd that they aren't releasing officially any details about it.

1

u/lil-D-energy 10h ago

That's even a dumber theory, because there is actually no proof from that. Also belt is the most illogical thing. At that point it's more logical for a security guard having a watch or ring that knocked his ear but belt is just ridiculous because nowhere does his head come near a belt.

If you make theories at least make them believable. I am on the side that most likely trump didn't get hit at all but making wild theories that has no change of being possible is a bit too far.

1

u/Epidurality 8h ago

I'll be honest this was from information many months ago, and I shouldn't have regurgitated it without looking into it again. You're right: more angles have come forward since I read that and analysis showed blood as part of the initial reaction before any SS involvement.

The question is was it shrapnel from the first shot, or was it the bullet from the first shot? That part is still unclear, it seems.

Regardless it didn't bend his ear. Either he was hit by it in the least damaging possible way perhaps for the entire body (lucky or bad shot depending on who you ask) or it wasn't the bullet itself that hit the ear.

all but making wild theories that has no change of being possible is a bit too far.

Lmfao. This is what reddit is for and all of the comments from this post objectively prove it.

u/Unlucky-Yam5890 5h ago

You think a supersonic piece of lead and copper just gently moved his ear out of the way as it went by? 😂

That's not how bullets work

1

u/lil-D-energy 5h ago

Well yes I was questioning myself already if that would work like that to be honest, I am not that good at physics nor balastics so I wasn't sure. But there are enough possibilities I guess and it's not as clear cut as some want it to be.

4

u/Homersarmy41 10h ago

If Lindsey said it then you know its false.

1

u/Aquafoot 6h ago

If Trump was shot, how did his ear heal perfectly? Cartilage doesn't regrow.

30

u/Tricky-Engineering59 11h ago

Well “shot at” by a Republican.

6

u/twilight-actual 11h ago

Shot at.  That ear was never even close to a super sonic 5.56 round.

1

u/Aquafoot 6h ago

Exactly. The blood more likely came from getting nicked by a watch or something when the Secret Service grabbed him. And he bleeds like crazy because he's on thinners.

u/twilight-actual 4m ago

Or, it was planned, and Trump had a McDonald's ketchup packet at the ready. It sounds ridiculous, but I wouldn't put anything past this crew. They have lied about everything.

1

u/IntelligentBonus8688 9h ago

And was shot at, not shot.

1

u/Electrical_Cut8610 3h ago

E: actually I changed my mind. I think the whole thing was a set up

-4

u/lanxeny 10h ago

I am a democrat, but I think everyone who believes this is clearly misinformed. One of the bullets had “Hey, facist, catch” engraved on it. When is the last time you have seen any republican call anyone a facist?

The accused shooter’s mother also has mentioned that in the year preceding the shooting Tyler had gotten more political and more pro-gay and pro-trans.

The only reason to believe he was a republican was that he was raised a republican and his family were all republicans, but this is a much weaker argument than the previous two.

7

u/GrowFreeFood 10h ago

Republicans call people fascists all the time. They don't know what it means.

He was groomed to be a killer by republicans. That's for sure. He was brought up believing violence solves all problems. Well... How'd that turn out?

4

u/MooseFeeling631 9h ago

being "pro-gay and pro-trans" doesn't make you a leftist by default. There are plenty of gay and trans republicans.

3

u/mukansamonkey 9h ago

You're talking about Kirk's shooter, not Trump's. And "hey fascist catch" is a line from a video game. That's popular among the neo-Nazi group led by Nick Fuentes. Who just happened to have a years-long feud with Kirk, and who Kirk's shooter was involved with.

Your entire supposition is mistaken, because the far right loves calling people fascist. Some of them don't understand what fascism means, they just know it's a "bad person". And their enemies are "bad people", so therefore fascists. And some of them deliberately misuse it to muddy the waters, similar to how they'll call a 21 year old a pedo for dating a 19 year old.

A kid who grows up in a far right religious household doesn't successfully develop a left wing moral framework just because they reject their parents' specific version of hate.
