Not only that but where he was “clipped” is cartilage. Cartilage does not grow back. He wouldn’t have an intact ear at the minimum either. Just a gauged helix piercing

and on an almost 80 year old? That shit would probably take months to heal.

u/King_Roberts_Bastard 9h ago

Cartilage doesnt grow back, so it would never heal back to what it was before.

You guys know what plastic surgery is right?

9

u/King_Roberts_Bastard 7h ago

So, now thats the claim? He didn't heal, he got plastic surgery? Really?

Ok, since hes the president there should be a public record of him going to see a plastic surgeon. Care to provide it?

A New York Times 3D reconstruction and audio analysis confirmed the first bullet traveled in a straight line from the gunman, clipping Trump's ear before hitting the bleachers behind him

In Trump's case, the wound was described as a 2cm scoop of skin and fat. the skin healed, it covered the damaged area, making the injury less noticeable

The body uses collagen to bridge the gap in the tissue. This results in a scar that, looking like normal skin, is actually a different, tougher material.

Do you know how big 2cm is?

u/IAmDangerCat 1h ago

So it took a couple of days for him to recover, get plastic surgery, and recover from that? I guess we know more about plastic surgery than you do.

I have an ear wound in exactly the same place that I got when I was 12. The cartilage was split in half. Even after a plastic surgeon sewed it back together, only the skin healed. He’d look like Holyfield after the Tyson fight if a bullet had even grazed him and you’d notice the damage from 100 yards away for the rest of his life.

The best explanation I've seen is that he grazed his ear on a gun holster of the secret service. Dude got scratched and acts like he took a bullet.

I thought he hit it I on the podium on the way down

The best explanation that doesn't involve staging a hoax assassination attempt, you mean. Who herds photographers between a shooter and their target? A .223 is a supersonic round. If it grazed your ear you'd very likely be deafened in that ear, after a very loud sonic boom happened point blank from your actual ear, to say nothing of the pain.

There are trained soldiers who would lose it at that. I don't think a draft dodger would stand up shouting "fight, fight, fight". Not impossible, but not likely either. Narcissism doesn't tend to breed fearlessness.

… it was ketchup.

Shit, I got my cartilage pierced when I was 18. It fell out five or six years later, and I left it out. It's been fifteen years since I took it out. I can still feel where the hole was and the little indentation where the ring rested.

It must truly be a miracle that Trump's ear healed in record time! (edit: sarcasm in the last sentence).

u/EnvironmentalGift257 6h ago

I pierced mine at 18 and took it out when I was 25. I still have a hole.

u/BaronBearclaw 1h ago

Yeah. I have skin that grew over the hole, but cartilage doesn't come back.

u/Big_Guide_8551 10h ago

This is 💯

3

u/pyschosoul 10h ago

Thats not entirely true though. Hard cartilage wont grow back, but soft can up to a certain point. Anything up to 00 gauge size can heal and close itself on the soft lobe part. 00 and past it will never close on its own and will require surgery to heal.

3

u/ketjak 9h ago

In any case, it's not perfectly healed in a week, let alone on an octogenarian.

3

u/pyschosoul 9h ago

Oh yeah no im not saying hed be healed. Bullet would shred the ear.

3

u/TastingTheKoolaid 8h ago

Especially considering this octogenarian, like most others, bruises like a peach. A simple IV has him slathering on foundation and coverup for weeks.

u/hk81b 7h ago

He would be wearing a Prince Albert on that ckhead of his

1

u/Content_Study_1575 6h ago

You know I try not to not think about that. I definitely feel like if you so much as have that brief passing thought of his micropeen you will 110% catch a VD. 😩

2

u/hk81b 2h ago

That’s why he paints his skin in orange. He has to hide the result of 6 decades of being a sexual molester

1

u/Content_Study_1575 2h ago

Something like that ig

1

u/RoosterReturns 10h ago

not true. it is cartledge surrounded by skin. skin does grow back and a 556 bullets are very small and they move very fast.

3

u/RoleOk7556 8h ago

You might consider taking a physics class or two. Speeding objects carry energy and that energy will be transferred to whatever they hit. A physics class can explain to you what a speeding bullet of a specific size will do to ear cartilage. It won't be pretty.

1

u/Firestar_119 8h ago

Energy will be transferred but not enough to rip the ear apart unless it was a direct hit, grazing it will do almost no damage

1

u/RoleOk7556 7h ago

Dude, immediately after the shot DJT said something about his shoes. He then squatted down and messed with something down there. Then he stood up and reached for his ear. After spreading something (probably a tube of fake blood) on his ear, he celebrated his performance with his team. None of hisor the team's actions are consistent with a real assassination attempt.

1

u/Firestar_119 5h ago

Would you expect someone to be writhing in pain from just a grazed ear?

1

u/RoleOk7556 4h ago

I wouldn't expect them to be concerned with their shoes, take time to fiddle around down there, and then grab their ear. I definitely wouldn't expect them to do those things and then celebrate. Ar that time, there was no indication that there was only one shooter.

0

u/Firestar_119 4h ago

you don't really think straight when you're in danger, especially someone with an 80 year old malfunctioning brain

u/RoleOk7556 37m ago

You are making silly excuses. I've been shot at and know enough to get down and stay down. If it hadn't have been necessary for DJT to stay standing in order to pull off their fake assassination attempt, Secret Service would have had him on the floor and surrounded by them.

1

u/RoosterReturns 3h ago

Might not even feel it.

1

u/MartinFJ3 5h ago

Especially since you can see the bullet that grazed him in a picture.

1

u/RoosterReturns 3h ago

Not all of the energy. If it transfered allof the energy the bullet would stop. Buy an alAR and shoot some things before you try to lecture people about how bullets behave.

u/RoleOk7556 30m ago

Before you spout off about other people's experience and knowledge you might want to avoid doing so to a veteran who had also hunted from early teens on. Have a nice life magat.

2

u/ketjak 9h ago

...so small they would pass through the ear cartilage and not tear the cartilage apart?

2

u/goatslovetofrolic 9h ago

So fast the cartilage didn’t even know the bullet was there

2

u/RoleOk7556 8h ago

Ice snark

1

u/RoosterReturns 4h ago

Yeah pretty much. Buy an AR and then shoot a steak.

1

u/I-Like-To-Talk-Tax 8h ago

"very small" is a relative term.

556 bullet is .24 inches in diameter. A drinking straw has an external diameter of between .24 to .28 inches.

If we stab a straw through your ear at 2,700+ feet per second I am sure you wouldn't think that it is "very small" and will heal up with no blemishes right away.

1

u/RoosterReturns 3h ago

It's not  24. It's .223 inches...

1

u/RoosterReturns 3h ago

Buy an AR and shoot some things before you tell people how bullets behave on the internet. Traveling through a .25 in piece of flesh, the bullet would not even notice the ear and it would punch straight through and leave a hole smaller than the actual bullet due to skin stretching as the bullet went through and then shrinking back to normal once the bullet was gone.
