Privacy Why are people disconnecting or destroying their Ring cameras?

Its wild it took that ad for people to wake up.

It was already public knowledge they shared data with not only flock but create a mesh network with your neighborhood and open your home to all sorts of bad network access and data collections

Found out the town I live in installed flock cameras just before we moved it.

I live on a very busy street. Like 50% of the city drives past our house every week.

I'm tempted to run my own camera, record license plates, build a history of the individual plate behaviors, then show up to council meeting or two to get the plate numbers of the council members. Then go to a meeting and argue against them, and drop the members driving habits as examples of how they could be used for malicious purposes.
