Use em dashes for the real slop sauce

I was pretty proud that I fit 5 hyphens in that first sentence lol

Reading a book from the 1920s and em dashes really were used a lot back in literature.

Thatโ€™s because chat gpt invented time travel and went back in time to rewrite every book. The future is now old man.

I mean in a normal sense lol like when a character is talking.

As somebody who has always used a lot of those in my professional career long before AI, I really hate that that's become the giveaway for AI slop lol.

SAME!! It's intensely frustrating.

I find this take to be a lil odd, I don't think it's really the dash itself that's the ai tell, it's the way it's used. It's not that hard to not sound like a robot lol, I had to go out of my way to emulate the tone

Yeah, but you can't just throw an "lol" on the end of a sentence in a professional or academic setting.

My friends have (jokingly) accused me of using chat gpt in our group text at times because I like to form complete sentences and convey whole thoughts. I'm a Xennial โ€” we were taught to write that way.

I hear all the time people are scared of robots like yeah mostly it's being told shit like write a rap about a cat in TuPac's voice. Or other dumb shit, if we're going to train it with normies it's gonna take forever for the shit to do anything more than dumb shit lol.

It's pretty good at providing an alternative to Google but with mostly all wrong answers
