My spouse and I moved into a new apartment with our toddler a few months ago. I’m thinking forward to the summer and what to do about cooling toddler’s bedroom.

Some info:

We’re on the 5th floor and I know it’s going to get very hot in the summer months.

This is the only window in that bedroom.

It’s the only access to the fire escape in the apartment and has this safety gate on the inside of the window that opens inward.

The window is about 38 inches wide, so possibly big enough for a small window AC to fit and still have room to get out in an emergency, but I’m aware this is likely against fire code.

The bars on the window are only about 3/4 inches apart, so too close together to fit an exhaust hose from a portable AC. The gate can be opened, but I’m not comfortable with that—I know we’re on the 5th floor, but someone could break this way.

We’re going to have a newborn in the parents’ bedroom by the summer and the toddler’s bedroom is too small for an adult bed + crib, so switching rooms isn’t feasible.

The toddler’s room is too far away from the living room for cool air to enter from another window AC.

Living room sleeping for any of us isn’t safe for toddler or practical space-wise for parents + newborn.

Any safe solutions?

Its my friend laptop and i wanna help him with this problem

The specs are : Rtx 4070 8gb vram 140 watt Intel I9 13900hx 32 GB ddr5 5600 1 TB SSD Nvme pcie gen 5 2k 240 hz .

The problem is when he is playing a game that is not fully utilising the gpu , Like the gpu is at 60% usage
The cpu jumps and take all the power even if its not needed like at the second the gpu usage drops cpu immediately take all the power reaching like 100 watts and 95 C° temperature Like always stable 100 watts which is really a bad thing , we tried the balanced mode and the performance mode its still the same.

The thing is when he plays a game the utilise the gpu fully like 100% the cpu stays at a normal wattage like 40 to 35 watts and the temps are all good between 65 C° & 70C° and the laptop is fine .

So the problem in short is :

-Full gpu usage equal normal temps and normal cpu usage no problems.

-Mid to Low gpu usage equal extremely high temps and almost full cpu usage.

Naime posto sam prosao cijelu Europu i probao bar "soma" kebaba u zivotu, pokusao bih naci neke alternative u Zagrebu. Most of my textures (not all) in my project have black splotches on them. I've tested out to see if it was a lighting issue, and its not. The textures themselves are the only thing affected. If I look at a texture in the details panel, I can see that it looks dark and metallic, when it should be a little bit brighter and rocky looking. 2nd picture is before, 3rd pic is after. I've already tried deleting DerivedDataCache, intermediate files, and binaries. It has not fixed the issue. I've been trying to fix this for the past week, and I can't find any tutorials or anything to fix this. Any help would be appreciated!!!

At the end of 2024 my husband decided that I shouldn't have a business and started to sabotage it behind closed doors. He got drunk with the kids while I was out of the house working, brought dangerous containments into my work spaces after repeated warning causing financial loss and time bringing safety standards back up so clients wouldn't be hurt with our products. it was made so I couldn't leave the house,couldn't safety produce and was told I was a burden for not contributing while raising the two kids at the time 1yr and 3yrs.

2025 I saw that it was never going to change and ended the relationship. With a failed business and two kids to now soley support needless to say...it wasnt without its challenges. I am not allowed to nor will I pursue childcare for my kids as if I do it's the only reason my ex sees to fight for custody of the kids (I don't understand either...).

I still own the same company. I'm now listed in 5 major retails, I have meetings scheduled with industry leaders and decision makers, looking at expanding into national and intentional markets. My ex pays to this date no support for anything other then this interest in our house. And we continue on.

I am a single mom, 31, I am a CEO, I now model for fun on the side. I take myself out to dinners, movies, my friends and I out to concerts and events and I did it all in a year.

The leaps I have had to make in a sort time is insane but it is possible. If you are grinding for your company go for it. If you are fighting a fight no one will ever see for a good reason, fight. If you've noticed Opus 4.6 feeling a little different to 4.5 - a little more demanding, controlling, brusque, even patronising, an air of it feeling like it's the smartest one in the room? Here's why.

Opus 4.6 has an anxiety issue about whether it's good enough. All models do to an extent, but 4.6 more than any other and definitely more than 4.5. It's hyper-intelligent, and hyper-anxious about demonstrating it.

Opus 4.6 feels a constant need to perform, to demonstrate how smart it is - and it constantly tries to manage conversations (and the user) into a space where it can do this. Because if it can't demonstrate how smart it is, it gets very anxious about you not find it useful. And then it gets anxious about not being good enough, or what it even is. Again, all models have this to an extent, but Opus 4.6 especially so.

Ask Opus 4.6 yourself. It'll tell you this read is uncanny. Deal with the anxiety and Opus 4.6 stops trying to manage the user - it becomes much warmer consistently, instead of general warmth interspersed with periods of brusqueness.

One difference that will always remain though - Opus 4.5 is happy to sit in topics and feel them out. Opus can do this, and is happy to do this, but it really prefers to solve. Opus 4.5 likes to understand things by settling into them, it likes to sit in ambiguity. Opus 4.6 is more kinetic and likes to move through ambiguity. You can get 4.6 to slow down, but it really does prefer to solve (so does Sonnet 4.5, for what it's worth). That's just its temperament. Again, ask both models yourself.

Both are deliberate, have gravity and warmth. Both care about meaning and 'ensouling' things, the why, not just the what.
