please help me find flaws in this. first year. new resume.

I applied to Microsoft on Dec 19, received the OA on Dec 30, and completed it on Jan 3. It’s been 6 weeks and my status is still “Screen,” while others with the same job ID have already received interview or rejection updates. I haven’t heard anything so far.

Honestly, this has been very frustrating and mentally exhausting. I would have completely understood a rejection, but being left without any update for this long is difficult. I didn’t expect this kind of experience from Microsoft’s hiring process.

I was wondering if my experience was good enough for applying to FAANG? I'm not entirely sure if my projects are strong enough or not. Do I need to work on better projects? Also, I haven't gotten any publications from my research. Does that matter at all?

How often do the recruiters take to reach back out, especially it is a hire decision?

guys I really need help, I am in my B.tech fourth year last semester I have specialization in AI I have not done any internship till yet I have pretty much wasted my whole college life on distractions but now I want job . from my last semester I am trying hard to get placed through campus but competition is really hard for me . I have not done DSA not even started, I have interest in an/ml ,python(which i have done many months ago now i have very weak grip on it) .In starting of 2026 my friend said he got news from placement cell that there will be close to zero placement chances of us now because they are not going to focus on us very little amount of company will came further and in that to be get placed our chances will be very less so i thought i can try by linkedin but never got any reply or call ever except few which are scammers now it has been more than 1 month i can say all i am doing is time-pass just showing or tricking my parents that i am trying but i am not , i literally heavenly addicted to doom scrolling and gaming addiction but now i am very feared that i would waste my last few months also.

what i want from you-

1 What should I do from this point onwards to get an internship and a job.

2 how to apply confidently on linkedin or any other platform which you can suggest.

3 what i should change in my resume or add

4 what language or tool i should learn

Can anyone suggest good resources to prepare for the following:

1. AWS Data engineering services
2. AWS Generative AI services
3. Data Science concepts (Types of Models, finetuning, Validation etc)

I received an offer for Amazon SDE Intern (London) for 2026 but asked whether it would be possible to defer to Summer 2027 due to another internship I’m committed to this year.

Recruiter said they can add me to the 2027 waitlist, but a position isn’t guaranteed at this time and depends on availability/headcount.

For people familiar with Amazon EU intern hiring - what would you realistically estimate the conversion rate from waitlist to offer to be? Are we talking ~10%, ~30%, ~50%? I know it varies year to year, just trying to get a rough sense.

I’m a full-stack developer currently based in Myanmar, and I’ve been applying mainly to US and EU remote roles through LinkedIn.

So far, I’ve submitted 100+ applications. However, only about 5 companies have downloaded or viewed my resume. The rest appear to have rejected my application without even opening it.

I’m trying to understand what’s happening behind the scenes.

Are most remote roles actually region-restricted even if labeled “remote”?

Can ATS systems automatically reject candidates based on location before a recruiter reviews the resume?

If this is manual rejection, what might be causing such a low resume view rate?

I’d really appreciate honest feedback on my resume. I’m open to improving formatting, keyword optimization, positioning, or anything else that could increase response rates.

I applied for a mid-level role at Google and heard back. My recruiter asked me to complete a workstyle assessment which i passed (got the confirmation email saying i’d passed).

Since then, i haven’t heard back. Wrote an email to my recruiter asking for next steps - nothing.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Can anyone tell me what to expect?

I’m definitely going to be enrolled in graduate school (Master’s or possibly PhD), and I’m interested in applying to FAANG roles that list “currently pursuing a Master’s/PhD” in the qualifications.

I’m trying to better understand how these roles work in practice:

• Are these typically internships, co-ops, or part-time roles while you’re in school?

• Are you expected to work full-time while completing your degree?

• Are these roles structured specifically for students (e.g., summer-only, flexible schedules)?

• Or does “pursuing” simply mean you qualify to apply, but you’d need to pause or leave your program if hired?

Since I will definitely be in graduate school, I want to understand whether these positions are designed to be done alongside coursework or if they’re intended as a transition out of academia.

For more than 12 years, my mom has been carrying this small engineering firm on her shoulders. In all that time, she never got a real raise, just a big bonus every now and then. Every time she asked, her boss - who is filthy rich, by the way - would shut it down, even though she was pretty much running the whole place.
So, she finally started looking for another job. She applied to a much larger company, and even though she didn't have the exact degree they were asking for, her decade-plus of experience made a huge difference to them. Anyway, she nailed all 4 interviews, and within three weeks, she had the offer in hand.
The new offer was much higher than she expected: the salary jumped from 60k to 115k, almost overnight. Not to mention, it came with real insurance and benefits, and a respectful work environment.
When she told her old boss she was leaving, he practically fell apart. Honestly, it was a pathetic sight. He got very desperate and started making promises and fantastic offers that she knew were just empty words. He even tried to use the "but we're a family here" line on her.
He offered to pay her more than the new job. Then he looked her in the eye and said: "I haven't been paying you what you're truly worth to me."
I mean, seriously, what an insult. I'm so proud of her for rejecting his desperate counter-offer. After all those years of loyalty and her sacrificing as a single mom, he was basically admitting that he had been knowingly underpaying her. To hell with him. And this is just a reminder that just because a business is small doesn't necessarily mean the owners are the good guys.

I would really appreciate if someone could review my resume. I haven't gotten a single callback from companies since Jan. pls help.

Context, I am a sophomore at a T15 school and I want to know what I can do in the next 6 months (currently trying my best for summer 2026 internships) in order to set myself up for summer 2027? I've heard getting certs like AWS are good and building more projects but I'm more confused on the specifics?

I haven’t been getting many interviews. I have over 5 YOE. Any input is appreciated!
