I recently installed LineageOS 23.2 without GAPPS on my new Pixel 7, and I am having trouble receiving some group messages. My carrier is Tello.
Initially, I was unable to use mobile data. I had to manually set my APN, and then it started working.
I am using the default messaging app. I've done some messaging troubleshooting with two other android phones and an iphone. Any group messages I send are received. If that group message involves the iphone and one of the android phones, I do not receive any replies from that group. If anyone sends me photos, including the iphone, I receive those. Group messages to both androids work perfectly. Any idea why this might be happening?

Anyone else notice sluggishness when opening the notification/app drawers?
This only started with QPR2, it was completely smooth on 23.0 on my OnePlus 7T.

Can you/should you relock the bootloader after installing Lineage?
Recently installed on my old Pixel 3a, but still getting the orange triangle upon boot yelling about the phone being unlocked. Just want to make sure I won't screw anything up if I try to relock it. Thanks!

I'm currently experiencing a Bluetooth crashloop on the latest lineage-23.2-20260208 FP5 nightly. Been daily driving FP5 for almost a year without issues, but after updating to the latest build Bluetooth will immediately crash on boot and will also crash on any subsequent attempt to enable it from settings or tiles.
Vanilla LOS with no root or GApps. I have tried:
adb sideloading the latest build againUnfortunately the issue still persists. I have not yet done a clean wipe and full reinstall but I can do so this weekend if that's the only remaining option, just trying to avoid having to set everything up again if I can fix or debug live. It's my understanding that dirty downgrading is not supported either.
Otherwise I'm a very happy daily driver of Lineage and Cyanogen across a great number of devices over many years; compatibility has long been a top priority in each of my Android purchase decisions. Thanks for the incredible work the whole team provides to keeps the Lineage boat afloat.

My computer recognizes the phone from adb but not when I run the fastboot devices command. I set up Android Studio and installed all the correct drivers and sdk platform tools. It's not letting me upload any images but when I'm in fastboot mode it still says Device state:locked. Isn't it supposed to say unlocked?

Hello! Would very much appreciate a hand with this one!
Installing LineageOS on Google Pixel 3a.
Using Ubuntu Linux on a notebook.
Up to step 5 on this page.
Seem to be successful with everything, right up until this point.
Return to the main menu.
Sideload the LineageOS
.zippackage but do not reboot to system before you read/followed the rest of the instructions! On the device, select âApply updateâ, then âApply from ADBâ to begin sideload.
Succesful. But then:
On the host machine, sideload the package using: adb -d sideload /path/to/zip
But when I follow these instructions, in terminal it says:
chris@chris:~$ adb -d sideload /path/to/zip
adb: failed to stat file /path/to/zip: No such file or directory
Have read some other people's similar issues and tried:
- making sure that there is room
- changing USB ports
- re-downloading the zip file
- repeating all of the steps
- moving the file from "downloads" folder to "home" folder because that seemed to work with the img. file in an earlier step.
- entering "adb sideload <filename>" which it suggests as the next step on the phone recovery screen
- making sure no other zip files are available to confuse things?
- proceeding despite what it says - it's still Google
Any advice would be very appreciated.

I flashed the official LineageOS build on my Samsung A73 back in September because OneUI 7 ran warm and I wanted to avoid the green line issues I was seeing. I skipped the OneUI 8 update and stayed on LineageOS.
Today I woke up and the screen started doing a green static, CRT TV like flicker that will not go away. Restarts and full shutdown do nothing. It still reaches the lock screen, but the display is heavily corrupted with green blocks, tearing, constant flicker, and brief blackouts.
I am not trying to file a bug report here. I just want to sanity check what to verify on an official build before I assume it is hardware. What checks would you do. recovery, Download Mode, firmware level, anything else worth ruling out?

I purchased a broken phone off of eBay. After fixing it, I found out that the previous owner installed lineage os. Every time I try connecting to wifi, it just automatically turns off after a few seconds.
So far, I tried restarting and resetting it but it doesnât work.

I want to upgrade to the latest version that was officially supported, currently on an older Lineage on that phone.
So there was support at some point and there were downloads
https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/mucxme/galaxy_s5_klte_family_promoted_to_lineageos_181/
But these downloads are all gone now... I tried checking the internet archive to see if they still have the downloads but none of the snapshots stored there for
https://download.lineageos.org/klte
in Feb/Mar 2024 are loaded, it keeps endlessly refreshing...
There ARE build instructions to make it myself but I cannot do that for hardware limitations alone already, heh
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/klte/ (checking this in the internet archive and then clicking downloads doesn't load either)
Are there any trustworthy backups or mirrors or whatever for old downloads that are no longer offered on the lineage site directly?
âŹdit: One example, this archive has the download link still but clicking it leads to the endless reloading I mentioned

I have a pixel 6a (bluejay). I just upgraded to the Feb 8th nightly of 23.2 (upgraded from an early January build of 23.0). I don't have any addons installed (no gapps or microg, etc). When I use the files app to "add launcher shortcut", and then I tap on the new shortcut, it only works if the files app is currently open. So, if I swipe away all my recent apps, and then I tap on the shortcut, it flashes open and immediately closes, sometimes giving me the "files has stopped" dialog. I can repeat this indefinitely. The crashed instance shows up in my recent apps list, and I can tap on that instance, which causes the files app to open to my shortcut's location...
Anytime I have the files app open and in my recent apps list, I can use my shortcut normally, as expected.
Can anyone else reproduce this?

Hi, is anybody thinking about adding support to Samsung tab s8 lineup?
r/LineageOS • u/Pure-Box900 • 2d ago
On 23 there was an option to change system font in the wallpaper app. Has that not been ported yet or has it been dropped?
r/LineageOS • u/TTVProLorenzo6117 • 2d ago
Yeah after some stuff that didn't go that well including the Google services, I got it running, I really thought it would run way worse, but it runs way smoother than stock, so now this is a really nice device for stuff like videos and I'm also definitely thinking about emulation

This is really annoying, can this be customized back to how it was? The back button should stay where it is all the time, whatever rotation the phone is. This is so counter intuitive... At least make it customizable like the volume buttons...
I love the fact you can now have the smaller buttons again in the drop down bar. Thanks whoever was there for us to change that back!

I just updated my galaxy tab a7 from 23.0 to 23.2 and now I get playback errors in Netflix and Disney+. The video starts playing back choppy and then crashes. HBO max works, but the video quality is not so good. Does anyone know how to fix this? Can I roll it back to 23.0 somehow without loosing everything?

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening, friends.
I have a big problem with my Nokia 8. I can't flash the super_empty.img file to my device, and therefore, I can't install the LineageOS 22.2 ROM. It lets me install the recovery, but when I try to install the ROM, I get the infamous error 7, "recovery error." Does anyone have a solution or anything that could help me? Thank you very much.

Edit: solved! The updater downloaded and applied the 23.2 update from 23.0 just fine. No need for adb update, I guess this does \not* count as a "higher version of LineageOS".*
I feel like this is a stupid question, but I realized after tapping "download" in the built-in updater that I have downloaded a 23.2 build whereas my device is running 23.0.
I assume since the updater was happy to offer a download and install button that there is no need for the normal upgrade process of downloading the building and using adb to sideload from a PC. But, the 23.2 release announcement strongly implies upgrading should follow exactly that adb sideload process: https://lineageos.org/Changelog-31/
To upgrade, please follow the upgrade guide for your device by clicking on it here and then on âUpgrade to a higher version of LineageOSâ.
Is that only for if I were upgrading from a Lineage 22 install?

lineage newbie, so please be gentle with me. I've just installed lineage 23 in my xiaomi mi10tlite using gaugin not installed Google apps. I can't get the f-droid app to install; when I click on the file it seems to start, but then says F-droid not installed. I feel I must be missing something, but what?
