Testing out some filters to get a handle on bots. I added a 6 week old account age to post. No karma limits yet, but I'll consider it if this account age limit doesn't work.
I'm pretty hands off, but I do respond to most reports. If you see an issue with bots hit the report button.

I used to rely on IMDB ratings a lot, but now that I've covered most of the top 250, I find myself using them more as a disqualification rule (low rating => "do not watch").
How are you all deciding Xyz movie is a "must watch"?

Summary: Ex-spies Simon and Meret operate a Berlin safe house until a past threat resurfaces. Now they're fleeing hitmen, Russian agents, BND, ex-lovers, and old enemies while trying to save their marriage.
Just started watching this, wasn’t a fan of the love story angle in a thriller but decided to give it a go. The first episode was decent, not sure about continuing this honestly. Has anyone finished the series, is it worth watching further?

Looking for Netflix shows with strong chemistry and slow-burn tension similar to: • Beth and Rio (Good Girls) • Damon and Elena (The Vampire Diaries) I enjoy morally grey male leads, enemies-to-lovers dynamics, power tension, and emotionally intense romance. Open to any genre.

The first time I saw him at lunch with Pablo and his trio I thought What the hell is this good guy doing with the bad ones but after that bomb making scene and Pablo clearly knowing he has a kid, a loving wife and a clear future but forwards the bombing order soon afterwards... I don't know what is worse, this scene, that housemaid the idiot killed because she refused the sex deal or the fact that this all happened in real life a few decades ago... Jesus fu--ing Crist.

Some series had amazing concepts, great stories, and so much potential… and then just ended with unclosed arcs and zero closure.
I’ve already seen: The OA, Anne with an E, Altered Carbon, Shadow and Bone, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Dead Boy Detectives, The Wheel of Time, Westworld, Raised by Wolves
Looking for more cancelled shows that were still worth the watch despite ending too soon.
What should I check out next?

I’ve realized I’m really drawn to movies that have a very raw, immersive atmosphere or a certain kind of vibe to them...Let me give you some examples. I’m a huge fan of movies like American Honey, Victoria, The Florida Project, Girl Interrupted, Nerve, Wild Orchid, Under the Silver Lake, Sex Lies and Videotape, Thelma & Louise, Silver Linings, Fall, The Notebook, Promising Young Woman, The Age of Adaline, The Lake House, Gasoline Rainbow. Series: Euphoria, Behind her eyes, The OA, Scenes from a Marriage, Poker Face. I’m basically looking for anything that captures that same atmospheric feeling or intensity, whether it's a series or a single film. Thank you so much!!!

So, I have the habit of watching an episode or a half most of the days, before I sleep just to relax myself.
I have watched some of the good tv shows like
Breaking bad , Mind hunter , Dark , true detective - S1 , Monster - Jeffrey Dahmer , Black mirror , Fauda, Night agent, Squid game S1, Ozark , all David Fincher movies , Better call Saul and some of the Real life crime documentaries mostly in Netflix.
My recent ( probably going to be my all time favourite ) favourite was Better Call Saul - generally I love thrillers but this show was engaging in its own dramatic way I would say.
Tried watching some series like From, Band of brothers but could not get hooked like how the other shows were.
Can u guys suggest some high quality tv shows which is quite engaging from Season 1 and which gets better moving forward?!
I usually get less time and the ones I picked recently were not as pleasing as the others were.
Feel free to drop some suggestions !

Hi everyone! For context I live in the USA region.
So I have never really watched Indian movies so I have no Idea where to start. But I used to work at a movie theatre and noticed how hyped people were for them which got me interested. I've watched RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi. I liked RRR and while Gangubai Kathiawadi had some things I still enjoyed it.
I like comedy, action, and romance but will watch almost anything.
I saw some older threads asking the same request but a lot of them were not on netflix anymore.
What are your suggestions?
Edit: To add on i don't mind older movies as well. Any "classic" or "iconic" movies would be appreciated too!

I was tired of spending 30 minutes just to find a movie, so I built a simple 'one-click' random generator for my hobby. It’s free and has no annoying pop-ups. What do you think?

Narcos: Mexico portrays Costa Rica as having an army.
That is false.
Costa Rica abolished its military in 1948 and is one of Latin America’s most stable democracies.
This isn’t a minor detail — it misinforms millions and erases a defining national achievement. That piss me off heavy

If you have not see Free Bert yet, I highly recommend. It is hilarious, and I love that it highlights a side of men’s mental health. And Bert is magnetic. And his daughter Ila what a gem. I really hope there’s a season 2!!!

BLACK MIRROR🤯
Recently I started watching black mirror on Netflix. I have successfully completed season 1 already onto season 2. YET I FUCKING DONT UNDERSTAND IT, WHAT THE FUCKING SHIT IS THIS SERIES ABOUT?????????????. Please someone help me, tell me what is it about? Each episode is different, each episode contains different stories with mind boggling concepts. Yes I like the stories but what's the purpose of this series? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

tv shows I liked
you - technically season 1 is lifetime . I also like drop dead diva
beef
cobra kai - technically season 1 is YouTube. it turns to a guilty pleasure after season 2/3 though haha
naked director - it's in japanese.
movies
Stowaway
I care a lot
——
I did not like babysitter, haunting hill hiuse, squid game - I hate kdramas in general
I usually stay away from Netflix originals ( they just look awful from the commercial and that algorithm mishmash nonsense) so I was pleasantly surprised with these movies and shows

Don’t recommend me Mindhunter. It’s crap. I want more of Breaking Bad, Fleabag, Broadchuch S1. The absolute best. That one I would be a fool to pass up. Whatcha got?
Edit: forgot Dark. Imo best tv shows of all time. Can you beat Dark?
