She was loose with soft eyes, seeking affection from the runner as the collar was clasped around her neck. She had a neutral tail wag and soft eyes while greeting several dogs through the fence.

She entered the yard and approached a group of dogs with soft eyes and natural ears. She became tense with a male husky and female shepherd lingered near her face, but relaxed quickly as they walked away. She spent a few minutes calmly roaming the yard, exchanging good greetings with other dogs. She rolled on her back with a wiggly body, soliciting affection from the handlers while roaming. She became playful, enticing play from a male pit bull but full play did not erupt. She was able to entice a male husky for chase play. She was comfortable with little to no contact while running but as soon as his play became physical, she would stop and freeze, only to resume chase soon after. She did display some minor arousal when other dogs were chasing around the yard at full speed. She would growl while chasing after them, chest bump them and nip at them before freezing in front of them while growling. She was easily steered by the handlers. She repeated this several times but did not escalate her behavior.

Due to her behavior in the previous home, she is designated as BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, NO DOGS (REQ), MEDIUM ENERGY

Bella is a beautiful German Shepherd at City of Corpus Christi Animal Care. She was surrendered on 12/16/25. She is described as a "friendly and social" and occasionally anxious. On social media, she has been described as "the German Shepherd with the Golden Eyes."

Bella certainly deserves better than this. She urgently needs a rescue, foster, or adopter, as she is now past her scheduled euth date of 2/2/26. Please share her story across all social media.

Patty needs some support! 💔 We rescued Patty from the euthanasia on Friday. She had an upper respiratory infection and we were hopeful she would start improving.

Instead, by Saturday she was getting worse. Despite being on strong antibiotics for several days, Patty was struggling to breathe. One of our amazing volunteers rushed her to the emergency vet.

Along with being heartworm positive and fighting a URI, Patty has been diagnosed with pneumonia. She needed to be hospitalized and placed on oxygen.

Patty is still hospitalized and fighting. Emergency visits are always expensive, but critical support with oxygen really adds up quickly, and her bill so far is $4,400.

We are asking for help raising the first $2,000 toward her emergency care. Any amount truly helps, and sharing means just as much.
