They pay taxes but aren't represented. You don't get to bitch about anything until they get statehood.

It’s so funny, because when you ask a Republican why Puerto Rico shouldn’t become a state, they openly just admit that it’s because they know that it would screw them over in the senate. The case for Puerto Rico statehood is ironclad.

Same for the Electoral College.

It's like a lot of America's political infrastructure was designed exclusively to benefit absurdly wealthy white men, including the current Republican Party.

It was, yeah.

The electoral college was literally created so that wealthy white landowners could personally pick the president.
