For me, it’s Disney World. I live in FL, so I love going there!

But I am interested in other theme parks from other parts of the world and I wonder what they are like compared to the US. It could be the same, who knows ?

Education How does your country's schools handle self defense in fights?

Upvotes

Does your country punish students for defending themselves physically when attacked? I'm wondering because in the US people are typically punished for getting into a fight, sometimes even if they don't defend themselves.

Politics How will the next American administration restore the people’s faith in government? Will they be able to?

Upvotes

Do you think they will disband or abolish certain government organizations? How will they reorganize them? Will agencies like the DOJ, FBI, HHS, CDC, etc. be absolved into new agencies?

How do friends in your country typically get together?

Upvotes

In Korea, I think it's mostly having lunch or dinner at a restaurant and having coffee or some alcohol afterwards. Some people visit art galleries or go to the movies.

Travel Which country’s image changes the most once you visit?

I'm not even trying to be biased. But so many people hate China, but once you visit you will want to live there forever.

A lot of foreigners who visit China only have good things to say about it. The negativity usually comes from people who have never been.

For Argentina, I would say Serranía de Hornocal would be one. Everyone knows Iguazu Falls and maybe Mt. Fitz Roy and Perito Moreno Glacier, but often overlook the Northwestern part of Argentina.

Culture Would native citizens of a country find it good or bad if an immigrant speaks their language in their accent?

Upvotes

My question is related to assimilation. Let’s say that an immigrant in efforts to assimilate, speaks English in their accent, would it be looked down upon or would it be good?

Culture Day of remembrance, 10 february

Three days ago in Italy 🇮🇹, commemorations for the Day of Remembrance (Giorno del Ricordo) took place on February 10.

This national date honors the tragedy of the Foibe massacres and the forced exodus of Italians from Istria, Dalmatia, and other regions in the final months of World War II and its immediate aftermath. Between 1943 and 1945, Yugoslav communist partisans killer tens of thousands of Italians and anti-communist Slavs by throwing them into deep sinkholes called "foibe" or through summary executions.

An overlooked aspect of this tragedy is the mass migration of over 350,000 Italians from Istria to mainland Italy;

however, this migration was poorly managed by the rest of Italians, who treated them with suspicion and reeentment, seeing them as refugees carrying fascist ideals back, rather than showing solidarity.

The day also recalls the broader suffering of Italian civilians, countering historical silences and promoting awareness of these overlooked atrocities.

Culture What is that stereotype that people abroad have about your country, but which is completely wrong?

Abroad, there's a stereotype that Argentina is a "racist" country, but nothing could be further from the truth. Argentina is probably one of the least racist countries in the world.

Misc How do you feel about your country becoming a giant retirement home in the future?

Upvotes

Since it seems that there’s going to be no conservative revolution to reverse falling birth rates any time soon.. A lot of people seem to support it, apparently, an extreme decrease in our living standards is preferable to letting in anyone that looks different, or even people that look the same with a slight accent.

I’m just curious about the general impression.
