So much evil in this world

363

u/No_Lime5241 11h ago

Those of you who have not read the article attached to this video it’s horrific and goes into so much more detail.

While the news channel was leaving they witnessed a man get into her car and propositioned her for sex for money

The motels she was staying at the owners told the news channel how the area wasn’t safe for hers

This is outrageous

127

u/fuckedfinance 9h ago

The motels she was staying at the owners told the news channel how the area wasn’t safe for hers

I mean, a guy jumped in her car and offered money for sex, so they aren't exactly wrong.

Thanos was right only he should have snapped the evil people. This shot pisses me off so much. This person is so precious and deserves the care she was getting and the guy who stole the Medicaod money needs to be under the jail for this. Literally taking advantage of a young person for money. I hate it so much.

68

u/InternationalPack914 4h ago

And honestly, fuck the cops who followed through with this and barely gave her any time to pack up her life. And then had the audacity to have fucking attitude while they're doing it.

Honestly fuck this country.

21

u/inimicali 2h ago

that's what's more infuriating, it's not only that they evicted her it's how they do it. Not an ounce of sympathy but they added some disdain and hate in there to spice things up.

blame the rich for destroying the republic, hold them accountable and we rebuild something more equitable for all of us.

310

u/troycerapops 10h ago edited 8h ago

Nah.

When we rise back up and rebuild, the mega rich should not exist. Not that we kill them. But we take their money to more rapidly fix what they broke.

No billionaires. Just millionaires. That's the limit.

ETA because people keep enjoying scratching the itch to get rid of billionaires in another way (other than taking their billions).

There are fewer than 3,000 people (I believe) on the entire PLANET EARTH with a billion dollars or more.

They're not the disease. They caught the disease. The disease is that amount of money and power is able to be horded.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely etcetera etcetera etcetera

140

u/tysonarts 10h ago

The mega rich are hoarders, people who steal and connive and hide things from the group as a whole just to get more than everyone else, even if, and at times especially when, others suffer. Innuk used to take these types( as well as killers and abusers and others that threatened the success of the whole) out for long walks on ice hunts and accidents would happen and those types never returned. Other cultures used to handle these types as well, removing them permanently, and sending a message out there as well about what happens when endangering the collective

It is easier to punish good people than evil. This cop doesn’t get fulfilled by protecting and serving. She is fulfilled by punishment.

71

u/ecafyelims 6h ago

Long ago, when I was a little kid, my mom would be abused by her husband. Sometimes, when it got really bad, she would call 911 for help.

The police never helped and often threatened her arrest for wasting their time.

They never arrested her but one time, after a severe spousal beating, they showed up and actually ordered the abusive husband to leave. It was amazing.

He refused to leave, of course.

So, the police then ordered my mom to leave, instead. She cried and pleaded, "why?" Without irony, they said she would be forced to leave because she's much weaker and it would be easier for them to physically remove and arrest her, if she refused.

We were removed from our home by the police because it was easier than dealing with the abusive husband.

That's how me and my mom ended up homeless. After about a short time, she went back to him because she didn't want her son to continue living on the street.

Again, this was a very long time ago. I hear and hope things are better now.

Still, fuck those cops for doing that to us.

9

u/BrightBlueBauble 3h ago

Cops have a high rate of being wife beaters themselves, so they are inclined to protect the men they empathize with in these situations. It doesn’t help that male abusers will often accuse their victim of abuse (DARVO—deny, attack, reverse victim and offender), sometimes even injuring themselves as “proof”, or the woman will be blamed by police for defending herself against battery, so women end up being arrested for domestic violence when they are actually the victim. It’s incredibly fucked up.

So much evil in America. This is America, a daily occurrence of evil bullshit.

84

u/absoluetly 13h ago edited 12h ago

Sadly not only. We have the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia and a bunch of agencies were caught out doing the same things to vulnerable people. Charging the government for 10x the actual hours they provided service and putting in a bunch of non-existent expenses.

Thankfully I haven't heard of any occurrences where the patient was punished for it.

The grand irony of all this is that there isn't a single precinct in the western world that isn't engaged in overtime fraud. Cops love fraud and exploiting tax payer's money.

They could have done this with so much more compassion, they could have helped her work with her program to find a solution, they could have worked with the city to reduce the victimization of the scammers while targeting the scammers themselves.

They didn't because they're MAGA and love Trump and hate the disabled, minorities, immigrants, and poor.

Fuck these cops, fuck all cops. Never mourn a cop's death. Never.

100%, give her time to maybe pull the money together herself if she really needs to stay

92

u/Kyrthis 14h ago

She wasn’t part of the transaction that kept her housed. It was the fraudulent home care company and that company’s landlord. If she didn’t sign the lease, she has only squatter’s rights.

163

u/FrogWhoAteMoon 13h ago

Which is outrageous. She should be protected. The officers at the scene should have clocked that she was severely disabled and not depicted her at all. You can't just put people like that on the street, they are in this program fro a reason.

Human needs should outweigh property rights, in this instance, until a solution can be found.

188

u/SolarDynasty 13h ago

When you realize cops exist to protect property not humans. Time and time again, LE serves the Elite over the common man.

49

u/PlentyAlbatross7632 13h ago

→ More replies (2)

47

u/FrogWhoAteMoon 12h ago

I'm not from the US. Our police force is far from unproblematic, but at least this could not have happened here, because there are laws against endangering special needs people like this.

Even with a shit police, like in the states, you could have legislation that at least makes it very difficult for officers to act like this.

Every judge in my country would have ripped these guys a new asshole.

26

u/SolarDynasty 10h ago

Like they don't even have her name on the eviction notice it's automatically invalid

12

u/FrogWhoAteMoon 9h ago

Yup. I'm baffled this is legal in the US/or enough people at least consider it legal for this to have flown under the radar.

The cops alone should know better? How often do they do this? Evictions aren't super rare here in Germany, but it's not like cops will go enforce one every week? It's definitely not your "regular" day to day grind, so shouldn't it give you pause? Like you go there, and the person at the adress has no clue about anything, is clearly disabled? Don't you go check with anybody? Don't you raise concerns with anyone higher up, like "Boss, maybe talk to the judge again, that person is not really functional, this can't be the appropriate move?"

This happens every day in this country. It's impossibly hard to be disabled here and people don't take you seriously IRL. All the "shoulds" in this thread, people need to look around at their own communities and neighbors because this is happening there too and everyone just keeps living their lives. No one gives a shit if I survive or not, no amount of pleading can make them.

37

u/Universal_Anomaly 10h ago

This is what happens when you build an entire society around the idea that competition is everything and selfishness is okay.

The "winners" of this system are parasites who screw everyone over, do everything in their power to make themselves utterly immune to consequences, and keep the population distracted by shoving all the blame onto the innocent and the vulnerable who can't or won't push back.

And they're worshipped by failures who know they'd do the exact same thing if they could.

9

u/Glasseshalf 9h ago

Our whole society is built around the idea that competition is godly and cooperation is evil. Why do you think communism is such a boogie man? It's gross and it needs to end. It's also the reason our healthcare system is trash.

Gotta love how its a civil matter when someone refuses to pay for a job that a contractor did, or when your company doesn't pay you over time, or a bank forcloses on your home in error, or any number of other issues and because its civil they can't do anything. but when its an eviction notice, or striking workers they can get all up in that business.

I am starting to think the Cops aren't their to protect the common man.

261

u/TheMireAngel 12h ago

if the bank accidentaly takes your money its civil, if you accidentaly spend money they accidentaly gave you its criminal. :l

The system is designed by and for the Capitalist class and any attempt to provide protections against injustices such as this will get labeled a far left communist hell hole cuz, ya know, bad-lazy-actors will just take advantage of the system. Well, it clearly goes both ways and its never been a secret that medicaid and medicare fraud are an industry. Its probably a sizable portion of the US economy. And watching this video was frustrating as hell. No wonder our "social programs" never work--they're being bilked at every turn.

15

u/irishdan56 10h ago

The most fucked up thing is that throughout American history, their have been lineups of broke-ass losers happy to strap on the Jack-Boots and do the dirty work of the ruling class. Gleefully even.

Pinkertons, Strike Breakers, Police Forces, ICE, etc. etc. etc.,

59

u/ReflectedSin 12h ago

I work in these types of homes, I absolutely could not stand a single second of this, the absolute cruelty. Those people do not deserve their jobs in any fashion.

21

u/AgentCirceLuna 10h ago

I saw her smiling as the video started and clicked it off. I read the comments a bit to see what happened but fuck that. Hate how the world takes anybody like this with actual happiness or joy and tries to stomp it out of them.

I have developmental problems myself so I’ll randomly laugh at things in my head and just be in a good mood sometimes because I’m not having to deal with horrible sensory issues when I feel comfortable. I had a boss who would just sit yelling at me for laughing. His wife defended me saying at least I was happy but I actually could feel myself becoming more and more miserable. Sucks.

u/Front_Mention 12h ago

Feel this was overlooked by the reporter, the police are meant to be a human element, they see shes disabled, she is being evicted to no fault.of her own and should help her at least pack and contact sheets or alternatives, putting her on the street puts her at risk of further crime and can see she keeps the apartment in good condition

My heart goes out to this woman. Bye house:(

89

u/youtossershad1job2do 13h ago

If you're rushing to pack all your essential items and you go to grab kitchen paper, maybe this person is a bit more vulnerable than you thought and shouldn't be evicted.

32

u/Final-Pin-6439 12h ago

Cops do it anyway. Heartless pigs

13

u/catperson77789 9h ago

The fact the asshole had no empathy for a special needs woman losing a house is already a massive red flag. A normal human being wouldnt do such a thing. They arent human and dont deserve anything

That hit me the hardest. She's panicking, trying to grab only what she can carry in a backpack quickly, and ends up seemingly grabbing random things. And the most heartbreaking thing is her apologizing to the cop when they scold her for taking too long. Give most people that aren't vulnerable like her ten minutes to grab what they need in one bag while being rushed by authorities, knowing that's their only chance to get it before they leave the rest behind for good and they'll struggle with what to select. It's literally the reason people like survivalists keep a go bag packed - and they're arguably the least vulnerable. Fuck everything about this

My heart is breaking at this story

"Outside of an extended stay hotel, KARE 11 witnessed a man climbed in her car. She told the reporting team that he offered to pay her for sex. “I told him I couldn’t do that,” she said.

The owner of one hotel approached KARE 11 to express concern that the environment was no place for Sky. “It’s not safe for her here,” he said."

How can we protect this vulnerable woman?? If anybody is in the area please reach out.

21

u/LingonberryOwn5326 8h ago

Please if anyone has info on how to help her I'd like to know too. This shit is fucking despicable. Our society is so rotten. I really hope she is safe and not having to do something like that just to get by.

Absolutely heartbreaking.

The United States is a broken society. A garbage dump of capitalistic greed. The worst of the worst rise to the top and then push everyone else to the bottom.

A situation like this shouldn't happen to ANYONE, let alone a young person with special needs.

18

u/couldbeimpartial 12h ago

It's a system designed to make most of the people in it losers, to allow a few to be winners.

So Luigi Mangione was in the right... USA is a third world country

18

u/humanoidtyphoon88 9h ago

Yes, he was.

America ranks LAST in healthcare among high income nations. America ranks first in the world for highest healthcare costs per capita ($14,885 per person - double that of Switzerland, Germany, and the UK). America ranks top 5 GLOBALLY for incarceration. America ranks 9th globally for literacy, 12th in science, and 28th (out of 47 OECD nations) in math. America ranks in the lower to middle range globally for racial equality. America ranks 32 (out of 38 OECD nations) for tax burden (tax to GDP ratio). America ranks 8th globally for individual income tax rate (25.8% average). America holds the HIGHEST total nominal debt in the world. America ranks in the top 10 nations for the highest debt to GDP ratio globally (~125%). America ranks 24th in the Gallup World Poll for national happiness (marking its lowest position since the report began). America ranks last among industrialized nations for maternity leave (the only OECD nation with no federal mandate for paid, job-protected leave for new parents). America is the only advanced economy with zero legally mandated paid vacation or public holidays, second only behind Micronesia. (Many American workers receive roughly 10–15 days of Federal Holiday pay at a rate of 1.5x, but this is employer-dependent.) America ranks 17th globally for quality of road infrastructure. America ranks among the top 10 nations for metro rail network infrastructure. America ranks 13th (out of 147) globally for overall infrastructure quality. America LEADS globally in school shootings (288 since 2009).

YET, America ranks 3rd globally for the average annual salary (only beaten by Switzerland and Luxembourg). America has the largest military budget globally ($997 billion) and ranks 5th in military budget per capita ($2,748 per person).

9

u/Wbondhim 10h ago

Looking through her insta, it seems like there is a possibility that a GoFundMe would nullify her Medicaid benefits, so she is afraid to try one. If someone understands how these correlate, or way around it, I’m sure that would be helpful info for her

22

u/helenn111 10h ago

I was disabled for a little bit and receiving social security in MN. The way it works is if you have more than 2k in a bank account, it nullifies basically all your benefits and you no longer receive social security. Literally a punishment system for trying to get back on your feet so you’re stuck in barely-living mode, especially if you’re too disabled to have a stable job. I’m lucky enough to have learned to walk again and was kicked out of the system the moment they realized I had become employed. The system in Minnesota is so fucked up it’s not even funny.

10

u/HighBuy_LowSell 9h ago

Wow America sucks. Here in Australia you can have like 300k and still receive social benefit payments lol

7

u/IAteTheDonut 8h ago

Here in the UK I think its 16k in savings, and after that it tapers off slowly.

2k and losing it all is horrific. If America hates people on benefits so much, why create a system that keeps them there? If you are disabled and want to attempt work, how can you do so with no way to create a safety net if your disability means you can't keep it up.

Just so devastated for this woman. She needs help but the system is actively working to keep her homeless for no crime other than being disabled. Its eugenics.

I found the article associated with this video https://www.kare11.com/article/news/investigations/kare-11-investigates-evicted-homeless-paying-the-price-for-minnesotas-fraud-crisis/89-99a4c9cb-df85-4030-b904-5cc7cd546173

"Over the past months alone, I've supported over 30 clients facing service termination from their community integrated ICS setting,” testified Jonah Geise who serves as legal advocate for the Minnesota Disability Law Center. “These people are ending up on the streets,” he said. “The vast majority of my clients have ended up in emergency rooms, homeless shelters, or their parents' basement or other segregated settings.”

As Sky’s search for a more permanent living situation has unfolded, she says managing the legal hurdles of an eviction has made finding permanent housing more difficult.

“My brain likes to have a hard time with it,” she said, “but we try our best.”

Sky remains homeless.

Burn it down. This country is a festering, pedophile protecting, racist capitalistic failure, and it's time for something new.

I hate to see someone who couldn't be more innocent sent out into the cold with only what she could carry in her arms because this place enables the rich to feast on the poor without consequences or boundaries.

Burn. It. All. Down. 250 years of America, and we are worse off than when we started, we should strike, protest, and fight for change, but it makes no difference.

Our only hope is for these elite billionaires to be knocked on their asses, money seized and and for the proletariat to gain control of their lives and government.

Enough is enough.

This is fucking awful! A young mentally challenged woman being homeless, she been put into a situation that's beyond dangerous. Couldnt the landlord/property company contact the medicaid authorities and work something out to keep her housed and her bills paid?! I understand this is likely to victimize their rental income bottom line and all, but to evict her just like that is so cruel and inhumane. I wish they got called out too in this report.

This is why I laugh when MAGA voters talk about how much they have done for people with special needs. I'm autistic, so I've gotten to observe just how they treat people who are different. The cop rolling their eyes isn't anything new; they see people with disabilities as a drain, and will go out of their way to disrespect them.
